1 SISTER CHURCH UNIT SALVADORAN LUTHERAN SYNOD PARTNERSHIP ENCUENTRO III, EL SALVADOR Calle Antigua at Montserrat parallel to Boulevard del Próceres, 1 block west of the Hermano Lejano monument, old site of INCOCA, P.O. Box 3003 Tel , sisterparish@gmail.com, n.castillo@sls.org.sv, Coordinator: Pastor Norma Castillo PARTNERSHIP ENCOUNTER III EL SALVADOR, NOVEMBER 2012 Date: November 12-16, Location of Encounter: Centro San Juan de la Cruz, San Salvador. MOTTO: WITH JESUS, WE WALK IN THE WORLD WITH FAITH AND HOPE ALIVE Based on the 2012 motto of the Lutheran Synod, For a full live we evangelize with Faith and Hope Alive and in the context of the walk of the Salvadoran Lutheran Church in accompaniment with the people of El Salvador, where the solidarity of the sister churches in defense of life is present, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the refuge FE Y ESPERANZA, Nejapa. Biblical basis: We are one partnership, one Christian family that witnesses to the blessing of God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who by his great mercy made us reborn to a hope alive, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 1:3), We are constituted in his grace and he calls us to build in communion. Like you, father, in me and I in you, may they also be one in us; his kingdom among us as stewards to watch over his creation and a full life. The Spirit of the Lord is on me, for he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord s favor. (Luke 4:18-19) I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God: for he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. (Isaiah 61:10-11)

2 The missionary activity of our Lord Jesus Christ invites us to partnership, to continue his mission of salvation the promotion of justice, of truth, of life, the respect for human dignity and rights, of solidarity. He makes us messengers of good news, joyful witnesses to the light and the truth; he gives us his strength and the challenge to transform for a full life. God didn t send his Son to the world to condemn the world, but that it be saved and all have life and life in abundance. Our partnership then be a space for healing, joy, accompaniment, love and open arms, that we be witness to the great love of God and that with Jesus, we walk through the world with faith and hope alive. General Objective: To develop the 3rd Partnership Encounter as a process of mutual accompaniment that allows for feedback of the communion between local churches and the international partnership, and through the exchange of faith and life experiences, to propose solutions to the challenges of the church in its current context, building the sovereignty of the Kingdom for a full life.
