1 Creation Reveals the Truth of God By Mitchell Kuhn God reveals the truth to us through the spirit of God, the Word of God, and his creation. All of these work together to teach us to discern good from evil and to come to know the Father and the Son. Rom 1:20 (NKJV) For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, Job 11:7 (NKJV) "Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? Job 11:8 (NKJV) They are higher than heaven what can you do? Deeper than Sheol what can you know? Job 11:9 (NKJV) Their measure is longer than the earth And broader than the sea The physical creation has revealed that we cannot discover the ends of it, just as we cannot discover the limits of the almighty God. Yet he has given us to know the mind of the Lord through giving us the mind of Christ. 1Co 2:16 (NKJV) For "WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD THAT HE MAY INSTRUCT HIM?" But we have the mind of Christ. Joh 8:31 (NKJV) Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. Joh 8:32 (NKJV) And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." God will reveal the truth of the physical creation to us, so we can know the deep things of the Spirit of God. Ecc 11:5 (NKJV) As you do not know what is the way of the wind, Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes everything.

2 When Soloman wrote Ecclesiastes, God had not yet revealed the mind of God to him because he was yet carnal and without the mind of Christ. Just as the truth has been made know to us through the Spirit of God, so too has the truth of the creation been made known to us. We now know that wind is caused by pressure differentials in the atmosphere, and pressure differentials are caused by the heating and cooling of air. We can now predict the weather with a reasonable degree of accuracy. We now know a great deal about how bones grow and the details of biology. We don t know everything, but certainly a lot more than in Solomon s time. Dan 12:4 (ESV) But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase. Psa 19:1 (ESV) To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Psa 19:2 (ESV) Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. What have we learned about the heavens over the generations? How does the night reveal knowledge? We see stars at night and the more technology increases, the more vast we discover the universe truly is. God s revelation of his power just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Scientists have been able to measure more accurately over the years the distance to other planets and stars. How?: by God giving increased knowledge bit by bit, just as he teaches us the truth in the spirit. Step 1: Understand geometry and trigonometry. This gives us the ability though the study of angles to measure distances between places that we cannot travel to.

3 Step 2: Measure the circumference of the earth: Eratosthenes- 240 B.C. in Alexandria He heard that no vertical shadows were cast in Syene, which was South of Alexandria on noon at the summer solstice. In Alexandria, on the summer solstice, the sun was directly overhead so there were vertical shadows. Alexandria had a 7.2 degree shadow. 360/7.2= 50. This means that the earth is 50 times further around than the distance between Alexandria and Syene. Syene is 800 km (497 miles) from Alexandria o 497x 50 = 24,850 miles. o Actual circumference = 24,901. How Eratosthenes calculated the Earth's circumference o From there, scientists have measured the distance to the moon and the sun. The average distance to the sun is called the AU = astronomical unit. Knowing the size of the earth s orbit enables scientists to measure the distance to stars.

4 Parlax angle can only be measured for starts about 1,000 light years away. Stars farther away do not have a perceptible parallax angle. Beyond 1,000 light years, the relative brightness and light spectrum emitted can be used to measure star distance. God has drastically increased man s knowledge of the physical creation over the generations and he is revealing his power to a greater and greater extent. The universe is continually discovered to be bigger than we think and through microscopes we see beauty and order at smaller and smaller levels. The Amazing World Seen Through A Microscope God wants his creation to be understood just as he wants his scriptures preserved. There are grievous errors in the translation of the bible, but God has preserved the scriptures for the benefit of the elect. In the exact same way, there are grievous errors in the interpretation of scientific facts but we do have the facts at our disposal. Scientists have discovered that starts are millions of light years away, but some wrongly assume this means the earth is millions of years old. An older earth and universe seems like a logical conclusion until we come to understand how God works. What was the first miracle? Jesus turned water into wine, which typically takes a lot of time. Good wine takes years to mature. Yet Christ made good wine instantly. Joh 2:9 (ESV) When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom Joh 2:10 (ESV) and said to him, Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now. This is the exact God made the universe, mature, with the appearance of age. He did not make Adam and Eve as babies, but mature adults.

5 God has made the universe known to us, but he also sends strong delusion to blind people to the truth. This is the exact same way he works with his Word. Billions of Christians around the world have the bible, but they have all kinds of false beliefs about it. We must learn do discern things in the physical world so they can be applied to things of the spirit. Luk 16:11 (ESV) If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? 1Co 15:46 (ESV) But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. God reveals to us that the earth is under strong delusion about many things. Isa 3:1 (NKJV) For behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, Takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah The stock and the store, The whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water; As we come to see all the lies we have been told, we start to become skeptical. It is good to not believe everything we hear and to try the spirits. Pro 14:15 (NKJV) The simple believes every word, But the prudent considers well his steps. Yet, we always fall off of the other side of the road to our own detriment. We become hyper-skeptical and cast off things that can benefit us. I ve been through this personally in many ways. I was given a powerful antibiotic called Accutane when I was a teenager to deal with my acne. It ended up severely damaging by digestive system. I also had a bad back surgery that left me partially maimed for life. I became overly skeptical and pretty must cast off all modern medicine for years. It took me a long time to learn how to discern what was expedient and what was not. At one time, I thought all debt was evil and that God s people should never borrow money under any circumstance. Then my dear brother Ayo showed

6 me how debt can be a path to freedom when used properly. 2Ki 4:3 (NKJV) Then he said, "Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors empty vessels; do not gather just a few. Debt is a stepping stone on the way to freedom and rulership. The time comes where we are the lender and not the borrower. This applies both physical and spiritually. Deu 15:6 (NKJV) For the LORD your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you. There are so many things in the life that God has given us to enjoy for our benefit. However, in our zeal without knowledge we forbid and judge ourselves and others for partaking of God s good gifts. 1Ti 4:1 (NKJV) Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 1Ti 4:2 (NKJV) speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 1Ti 4:3 (NKJV) forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 1Ti 4:4 (NKJV) For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; 1Ti 4:5 (NKJV) for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. Rom 14:14 (NKJV) I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. 1Co 6:12 (NKJV) All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

7 1Co 6:13 (NKJV) Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. Ecc 7:15 (NKJV) I have seen everything in my days of vanity: There is a just man who perishes in his righteousness, And there is a wicked man who prolongs life in his wickedness. Ecc 7:16 (NKJV) Do not be overly righteous, Nor be overly wise: Why should you destroy yourself? Ecc 7:17 (NKJV) Do not be overly wicked, Nor be foolish: Why should you die before your time? Ecc 7:18 (NKJV) It is good that you grasp this, And also not remove your hand from the other; For he who fears God will escape them all. We need to understand that most of us are not wise according to the flesh when we are called. We are the weak, poorly education, gullible people of the world. 1Co 1:26 (NKJV) For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. Just because God has started to give us some spiritual understanding does not immediately make us wise according to matters of the flesh. Luk 16:8 (NKJV) So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light. We need to know that this is true and be quick to listen and slow to speak. We must be careful to not speak evil of what we do not understand nor judge before the time. It will make us look foolish before the sons of this world when we are put to shame for our ignorant and hasty ways. God has given us all things that pertain to LIFE and godliness. So that we can grow out of our foolishness and ignorance and be wise in the ways of the flesh.

8 2Pe 1:3 (NKJV) as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, Mat 10:16 (NKJV) "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Not many are wise according to the flesh in our midst at first, but God does give us a few. Paul was a well-educated Pharisee and Luke was a doctor. So let us listen to those in our midst who God has given knowledge and discernment. It will certainly be to our benefit. One such topic that will bring us great shame this the flat earth teaching that some have been caught up in. I empathize with why this is so deceptive and easy to fall prey to. However, I would be remiss as an elder and teacher to not blow the trumpet and teach you the truth of the matter. I pray you will carefully consider what I have been given to teach tonight and go and study these matters further for yourselves, your children, and all those whom God will send to you.
