Turning to Philip, he asked, Where can we buy bread to feed all these people? 9. John 6:6-10 (NLT) 6 He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do. 7 Philip replied, Even if we worked for months, we wouldn t have enough money to feed them! 8 Then Andrew, Simon Peter s brother, spoke up. 9 There s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd? 10 Tell everyone to sit down, Jesus said. So they all sat down on the grassy slopes. (The men alone numbered about 5,000.) 10.

6 Mark 12:41-44 (NIV) 41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything all she had to live on Corinthians 9:6-8 (NLT) 6 Remember this a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 12.

7 2 Corinthians 9:9-11 (NLT) 9 As the Scriptures say, They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. 10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. 11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God Corinthians 9:12-15 (NLT) 12 So two good things will result from this ministry of giving the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. 13 As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. 14 And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you. 15 Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words! 14.

11 1 Timothy 6:6-10 (NLT) 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs Timothy 6:11-14 (NLT) 11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14 to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 22.
