7 Protect me, O God, for I take refuge in you; I have said to the Lord, You are my Lord, my good above all other. All my delight is in the godly that are in the land, upon those who are noble among the people. But those who run after other gods shall have their troubles multiplied. I will not pour out drink offerings to such gods, never take their names upon my lips. Refrain. O Lord, you are my portion and my cup; it is you who uphold my lot. My boundaries enclose a pleasant land; indeed, I have a rich inheritance. I will bless the Lord who gives me counsel; my heart teaches me night after night. 11 DECLARE Stand. Creed A Together, let us confess our faith. C We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. 11

18 Distribution All baptized Christians are welcome to receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ. If you are unable to come forward for communion, let an usher know and you will be served where you are seated. Please register your attendance on the communion registration forms in your worship folder and hand to an usher. If gluten-free wafers are required for health reasons, please ask the pastor serving communion for a wafer. The chalices of wine include the common cup, closest to the bread (also recognized by the napkin the communion assist holds), and intended for sipping; followed by the intinction cup, intended for dipping the bread into it; and finally, an intinction cup filled with grape juice rather than wine, also intended for dipping bread. 18

20 GO Stand. Deacon Sending P Deacons are called to make Christ and his redemptive love known by word and example (1 Timothy). Such love is expressed in the extension of Holy Communion to those who are homebound or hospitalized. P Eternal God, C bless those who go forth to share your word and sacrament with our sisters and brothers. In your love and care, nourish and strengthen those to whom we bring this communion, that we may all feast upon your abundant love made known in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 20
