2 Ephesians 5:9-19 (Epistle Cont d.) 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, Hebrews 9:1-7 (Epistle, Theotokos) 1 Then indeed, even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and the earthly sanctuary. 2 For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary; 3 and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, 4 which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; 5 and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail. 6 Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services. 7 But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people s sins committed in ignorance; Luke 13:10-17 (Gospel) 10 Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. 12 But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity. 13 And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. 2

Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? 16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound think of it for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath? 17 And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. NICHOLAS SACKS PROGRAM REMINDER Sunday, December 2, after Liturgy, as a parish, we will be putting together the "St Nicholas Sacks". The Outreach Committee is purchasing most of the items to include, but parishioners are invited to supply family-size snacks, and a small toy/game to share (everything needs to fit in the sack). REMINDER THAT WEEKLY SERMONS are available on our website, THE NEXT PARISH COUNCIL MEETING will be December 9 th. FORCC NEWS: 1) Due to last Thursday s snow and sleet, the FORCC meeting has been rescheduled to this Thursday, November 29th at 7:30 p.m. at Three Saints in Ansonia. 2) The Parish Council recently voted to invite FORCC to hold their meeting at Holy Ghost on March 21, Please save the date. 3) Reminder Matushka Lydia Westerberg has posted Fr George Parsenios presentation from the recent FORCC banquet.
