3 MU S I C We look forward to a number of collaborations this term. On Thursday 1 May (Ascension Day), the Choir joins the King s Singers, who will be giving a fortieth anniversary concert in the Chapel. This will include two new works, to be sung by the King s Singers and the Choir together, which have been specially written for the occasion by Bob Chilcott (KC 1973), formerly a chorister and choral scholar at King s, and also a former member of the King s Singers. On Sunday 11 May, the College s resident quartet, the Dante Quartet, joins the choir for Mozart at the Sung Eucharist. On Sunday 8 June, the viol consort, Fretwork, joins the Choir at Evensong, which will feature the music of former King s chorister, Orlando Gibbons. On Thursday 3 July, we welcome the Choir of St John s College for Evensong which will honour Vaughan Williams, the fiftieth anniversary of whose death falls this year.
