2 V is the main character of the film, his past is a mixture of pain, injustice, hate and rage aimed toward a totalitarian government that took away his past identity and freedom. His rage makes him look for revenge by means of a set of complex plans to expose and discredit the government V isn t simply an anarchist who fights against the regime, but he embodies the values of freedom and justice. and he always tries to remind people of the values that once ruled the world. The means by which he tries to do this are questionable.

3 V wore a Guy Fawkes mask because their targets, ideals, and methods were the same; for example the symbolic blowing up of the Parliament buildings to encourage citizens to take back their freedom.

4 Evey is another main character. She s V s chosen successor. She represents a common person enslaved by the government. She cooperates with V even if at the beginning she distrusts him because he is according to the government a terrorist.

5 Adam Sutler is the leader of Norsefire. He s interested only in power, he maintains power through fear. As long as the population are living in a state of fear he can control them

8 V For Vendetta explores the following themes: Revenge - V wanted to take revenge against the people who hurt him and those who rule through fear Freedom - Great Britain wasn t free, because the Party in power ruled without compassion and respect for its people. Justice - the institutions of the society were completely corrupted by the totalitarian regime. Power - Adam Susan was thirsty for power and he wanted everything to be under his control.

9 The main characters, V and Evey often make reference to quotations from Shakespeare s writings. There are references to Macbeth, Hamlet, Richard III. V used these quotes to compare himself to the characters of Shakespeare s works. V also references Faust. After leaving Saint Mary s lager, he took his revenge like Faust; he made bloodshed against the leaders of Norsefire Party. Like Othello, and, like Hamlet, he was thirsty for justice.

10 V for Vendetta gives the viewer many points of reflection. It is sometimes sad, gloomy and tragic. So, a lot of people may dislike this film, But the writer remains true to the message Because the real aim of stories like 1984, Fahrenheit 451 and V for Vendetta is to warn humanity against a possible future.

20 Look at me! At a quick glance, I m just an old retired entertainer in a mask who indirectly ended up as both a victim and a villain by an unwelcomed change of fate. This mask is not just a pleasant looking cover to hide the face underneath, it is the last remaining trace of the voice of the people, which has disappeared and now no longer exists. However, this courageous arrival of a past irritation (Guy Fawkes) stands reborn and inspired and has sworn to conquer and crush these bribe-taking, corrupted, poisonous rats (the Government) who are at the forefront of promoting evil and greed, by allowing the use of violence to remove the free will of the people. The only solution to this problem is retaliation. A personal revenge that I have promised to carry through with, which can I add is not for my own fulfillment, because the meaningfulness and truthfulness of my actions will one day become clear to the watchful and honest people. Admittedly, this collection of complicated words has now become a bit long-winded, so let me simply finish by saying that I am honoured to meet you, and you may call me V.
