2 Where do we begin? We dreamed big when we set out to do our first project with Crossroads. Not only was Journey the title of the album, but it was also the season of life that we were in. Along the way as God began to give us the lyrics for this new project, we realized this life is not only a journey, it s a battle we can t fight alone. We must have the whole Armor of God. We pray that this CD will encourage you in the battle as we fight together. Shine up your armor! We could never say thank you enough to our precious Savior for allowing us to work in His kingdom. Our hearts are humbled daily by His mercy and grace. We owe much thanks to Jeff Collins, Chris White, Scott, Van, Greg, the musicians and each one of our Crossroads family for working tirelessly to bring this project to life. Thank you Jim Stover for getting our music out to radio and thank you DJs for playing our music! A special thanks to each person that prayed, donated, and cheered us on! Plain and Simple Jordan Chase Wisecarver,, I know we ve never talked much before I m so embarrassed for passing the doors You had open for me You must have had much in store Coming to you I kind of feel out of place Ain t no way I have the right words to say So I ll keep it simple, just plain and simple Lord help me This time I m here to stay Please help me I ve got to change my ways I m done searching, looking for a love that can only be found in You There s a longing in my soul that this world can t fill So I m coming to You Lord, asking if You will Hear this simple plea straight from me Maybe you ve never heard this before How Jesus loves you and stands at the door He s just calling your name, what are you waiting for Don t be afraid, don t have to feel out of place Don t look for the right words to say Just keep it simple, plain and simple Give a Little More You may have walked right through the door with your mind made up This week s just been too long and hard, you feel like giving up You say I m gonna sit right here and listen to them sing But friend can I encourage you to do one simple thing Give a little more, than you re wanting to Go beyond what s comfortable for you Maybe lift your hands or even sing a simple word or two You might just be surprised at what happens when you do Give a little more, of praise where it s due Thank Him for the times He brought you through You just never know what He has planned or what He has in store When you make up your mind, and give a little more I know you re tired and down and out, your heart s a sad, old place You just don t feel like running any longer in this race But if you ll just draw close to Him, He ll draw close to you It s then that you ll be thankful that you decided to

4 Somebody Here You may feel unworthy to walk in this place Undeserving of mercy, forgiveness and grace But friend let me tell you, neither am I Jesus has promised us, He d be passing by Somebody here needs a hand reaching down Holding hope out to them that will turn life around Somebody here needs a measure of faith To believe that the promise is still worth the wait I ve come to tell you you re in the right place Cause Jesus is near, for somebody here If you re weary from trying to give it your all Discouraged from striving to live out your call Find strength in the One Who knows you ve tried your best Leave it up to Him my child, and He ll do the rest If you re broken and bruised, You re ashamed and abused You are just the one He s looking for He is calling your name, why would you leave here the same More Than A Good Man Questions are rising about the deity of Christ But if you were to ask me, I wouldn t even think twice Cause I talked to Him this morning, and I know Who He is I can t explain it all but I can tell you this He is more than a good man not just a prophet or a saint More than a carpenter just look at what He s made He is not some fairytale, He s not crazy or a fraud He is more than a good man, He s the Son of God It might not seem much, coming from someone like me So you might just think about finding out personally I ll just be honest I have doubted as well But you can t know for sure until you ve met Him yourself What s this world afraid of if it s all just some hoax They wouldn t try to trash His name if deep down they didn t know Don t You Think You Ought To Worship Me Seems every time that we go to His throne We bring petitions but forget our song Asking questions like Lord how or why Or just complain about how hard we ve tried But if He were to ask this time This might the question on His mind Don t you think you ought to worship Me Don t you think it s time you spend some time With your hands up in the air, Offer more than just your prayer And give Me what is rightly mine Yes it s true I want to hear from you, All your questions and your every need Give me all your doubts and fears but there s more I want to hear It s time for you to worship Me Prayer alone can go so far But mixed with praise, He meets us where we are We can t just see Him as a helping hand He s so much more, He s the great I Am For all His kindness He won t ask much He only wants us to show Him our love Hope, Faith, and Love Vincent Slade Wisecarver Remember when some change is all we had Sometimes we d find a twenty placed there by your ole dad We d lay our heads to rest in our warm bed And thank the Lord for another day and for giving us our daily bread We d search through old coat pockets in hopes we d find A few more dollars to pay our bills when we were in a bind And that old paper paycheck was always just enough We call those times hope, faith, and love Though nothing much has changed, I have a different point of view Lord it ain t been easy, But Your grace has brought us through And to this day when I m afraid there won t be enough I go back to hope, faith and love I go back to hope, faith and love You know that old black car my grandpa found And that time it left me stranded on the other side of town We didn t have too much to be proud of But what we had was hope, faith and love

5 It Would Be Alright It was foretold by a prophet of old That God s Spirit would come down They say The Lord blessed but the Spirit left And now it no longer abounds Well that ain t true cause He can work in you Like He did on that great day Just turn loose and let Him move Brother you ll be amazed It will be alright If the Holy Ghost had his way in this house tonight It would be just fine If we shouted all these walls down, Got drunk on brand new wine So let s stir it up, lift the Lord s name up And brother we ll have a time If revival takes flight and we re here all night That ll be alright Fashion and form has made us lukewarm He d prefer us cold or hot And how we ve strayed from the narrow way Now it s looking like the days of Lot But there s good news He s gonna shake these pews With a mighty rushing sound Don t be left out, He s here in this house Seek Him while He ll be found The Station Standing at the station and I m wondering which train to ride But there s a silver tongued devil and he s trying to sell me a lie He s calling to get on board, said there s lots of fun in store But something bout that steam just don t smell right But there s a shiny white engine and it s sitting on a track of gold An angel blows the whistle and it s starting to move my soul It s headed toward the light and now the time is right And it s fueled by Holy fire instead of coal Now the devil left out the part about the destination He didn t tell me there was no headed back once I left the station He said it s all about the ride, but I can t believe that lie Now it s clear to me which train I ought to be taking So I go to buy a ticket and I can t find a cashier Seems some how that debt has been all cleared That devil, he can t compete cause now he s under my feet My bill s been paid for by the engineer Better listen now, Before you hit the tracks you better know the facts Let me ask you how this sounds That devil s train comes full of strings That will only drag you down To and fro as it burns your soul On those red hot fiery rails Check that ticket stub before you leave the hub It s a southbound trip to hell There s no idle time the throttle s high The other train s about to leave But you can know for sure once you get on board Your satisfaction s guaranteed Hit your knees with an humble plea Let Jesus do the rest We re no longer dead full steam ahead On that Heaven bound express
