1 All I Want By Rylan Chudy-Dilworth All I remember is his brown hair His stone cold dark eyes Staring down into my mother's pleading desperate face I remember my mother's eyes, Pleading in despair Trying to keep my father Her love But he really didn't care All I see is this mess, the scars and the wounds that he left in his wake And when I lay my head down to rest The pain I can't shake All I want is a father One to tie my shoes and teach me how to be a man, To shave, To fish, To love, And one with a family that cares for me Not one who hides in the shadows, Teaching their child how to be a coward All I want is his existence to be erased The pain to be healed, And the wounds to be stitched But the scars still remain All I wish to do is burn this sack filled with pain But first, A father I must gain, But how? Fathers love, Care, Teach and joke They do not leave their child out in the cold, They live every breath for their child with a strong love that is bold And that is truly a special man That is hard to come by But when you do find him The relief will make you feel reborn

15 Kylar 8-5 I sat in a crowd full of crying people I did not see my grandpa anywhere I thought of him I remember him giving us chocolates every time we saw him I remember our three day sleepovers I remember playing Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum in the living room I remember swimming in his pool for hours I remember him and I will never forget As I looked at the big black box at the front it reminded me of my grandma She got very sick and was unable to eat or drink anything My grandpa stayed with her until the very end That's when it hit me he had reached his end Then everything made sense Why there was flowers at the front Why this room was full of crying people Why I was wearing black Why my aunt flew in And why my grandpa was not there
