2 Trip to London Between the first and the second phase of the national exams, there was a trip to London in which students from the 10th, 11th and 12th grades took part. On the first day we visited the London Museum, the most recent interactive museum; it tells us the history of London since the famous 1666 fire and the reconstruction of the city until our days. Then, we visited St. Paul s Cathedral and we also crossed the Millennium Bridge (built to point out the millennium). From the top of a building, we enjoyed a pretty wide panoramic view over part of London, because from there we could see some monuments and buildings such as The Tower Bridge, The Shard, The 30 St. Mary Axe, known as The Gherkin, etc. On the second day, the students got to know the meaning of the statue raised in 1843 at Trafalgar Square, as a tribute to the Admiral Nelson for the victory of the Royal Marines in the Napoleonic Wars. The Palace of Westminster or Houses of Parliament, The Big Ben, the Statue of Winston Churchill and the Westminster Abbey fascinated all of us. We saw three Royal guards parades, each of them wearing their own different uniforms. After that we could see the Horse guards in front of the Whitehall Palace, the main residence of the monarchy between 1530 and Then we saw the official residence of the Prime Minister Theresa May (number 10, Downing street). We obviously took a red double decker bus, but this was a special one because it was the oldest bus in London: number 15. Although there was another one with the same number going around, we were lucky enough to take our tour in the oldest and iconic bus of the city, and, of course, in the upper deck. We also crossed St. James's Park in which the little squirrels caught the students attention.

3 We visited the British Museum, where the Parthenon Frieze is exhibited, as well as Egyptian, Roman and Medieval art, and this is just a bit of what this museum has to offer. The Tower of London and the Tower Bridge also pleased the students. Besides this we walked along Oxford St ( and, of course, we couldn t miss the iconic Selfridges) and Regent s St. At night, the Piccadilly Square and the Leicester Square got the students attention by its notorious enthusiasm due to the exciting street performances. They also enjoyed visiting the M&M S World and the recent Lego store. The Victoria & Albert Museum, the National History Museum, the Science Museum as well as the Madame Tussaud's one arose the students interest. On the same day, we still had time to enjoy a magnificent on the London Eye. At night, the Hard Rock Café revealed its natural musical ambience and its major icons. Finally, on the last day, students visited the Harry Potter store and then we went to Camden Town, a huge area built during the Industrial Revolution with a large network of waterways and channels that contributed to the business blossom. Nowadays it has numerous markets linked to an alternative culture. After that we went to Covent Garden, a giant and iconic area of London in which we saw performances of various types of art. These are quotes by students about this trip. All of them truly express their inter and intrapersonal experiences during this time.. Henrique, 11º C. This school trip changed the way I saw the world. I could see many different things, which made me realize that we have a very different culture from the English people. Thank you to everyone and especially to teacher Aida that worked so hard to make it happen. Another thank you goes to my friends. I love you all.
