October 2016 Greetings in HIS precious name This month started with great promise and expectations. We are now already at the end of October and find ourselves reflecting on the many experiences that we were part of. I would like to share something from a book of daily devotions called Disciplines which is available from The Upper Room Books. Haggai 1v15 2v9. A call to Build the House of the Lord and The Promised glory of the new House. Haggai gives his people a word that s worth hearing today as we face similar reviews of our efforts. He reminds them that God s interest focuses less on good beginnings than on good endings. Though the ancient promises may not be fulfilled in their entirety at the moment, God remains steadfast and continues to uphold those promises. We do not fear. The future is still unfolding, and it rests in God s hands. (Jonathan C Wallace.) We then had our Gathering and Annual General Meeting on the 22 nd October 2016, also at All Saints United Church where about one hundred community met for a wonderful time of fellowship and to elect the board for 2017.
