Thank you all for your prayers, encouragement, and support. As we continue the Fall season with Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approaching I can t help but reflect on the greatness of God. The Psalmist says, It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness [a] by night (Psalm 92:1-2). What better time that right now to give thanks to the Lord? We live in a fast-paced society and each day seems even busier than the last. However, busyness is no excuse for not thanking Him. Have you taken time recently to stop and offer thanks to the Lord? I want to encourage you not to wait until November 22, 2018. Right now, stop what you are doing and offer up thanks to Him. Thank Him for being your Creator, Redeemer, Savior, and Friend. We have so much to be thankful for and His praise should continually be on our lips! On November 4 th, I will be preaching through Luke chapter fifteen in a 3-week series entitled Lost and Found. This will be a great time to invite any friends who do not YET know Jesus or who have questions about our faith. I also want to personally invite you to join us for Bible Study each Wednesday at 7pm as we continue our series entitled Rebuild: A Journey Through the Book of Nehemiah. If I can do anything for you or your family, please don t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to the great things God has in store for Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church. We relish the opportunity to gather with family, to share in a meal and fellowship with one another. We often will take time to reflect on the many blessings we have been given by God and we may even go around the table at Thanksgiving and express our thankfulness. It is incredibly important to pause and give thanksgiving to God, for all He has done for us. In Psalm 100:4 we are taught to: Community Thanksgiving Sunday, November 18, 2018 Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church 6 pm Speaker: Pastor Brad WMU World Day of Prayer November 5, 2018 7 pm Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church 7 pm ful unto Him, and bless His name. However, equally important is our call to show thankfulness. But how do we show our thankfulness to others, to God? The Bible teaches us that one of the most profound ways in which we can truly give thanksgiving to God is through serving Him by serving others. He told us in Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me From this passage, we know that to give thanksgiving to God we can serve Him, and to serve Him all we need to do is serve others. We do not need to look far to find those in great need after the recent Christmas is just around the corner and it is time to order Poinsettias in memory or honor of your loved ones. Please see Carolyn Renfrow or Hilda Overbee for more information or to place an order. Order forms will be in the bulletin each week. The Deadline to place orders is Sunday, November 25th. Cost is $12.50 per plant. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankevents of Hurricane Florence. As many of you may have seen, our Church has coordinated a one-day service trip to an area heavily effected by Florence on Saturday, November 17th. I encourage you to join us on this trip if possible as PLMBC puts thankfulness in motion. I know many of you have and will continue to seek other avenues to support those in need both in our local community and in the state. Our ability to humble ourselves before God in service to others is one of the greatest ways we can show our gratefulness for the blessings we have received through Him. I pray each one of you has a safe and blessed month of November and enjoyable Thanksgiving. I look forward to seeing our Church putting Thankfulness into Action!
