31st Sunday in Ordinary Time Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Love of God and love of neighbor two sides of the same coin; they are so closely connected. What does God intend when He says: You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and with all your strength? It simply means we love God with everything we are and everything we have; both in intellect and will, our desires, our affections, our purposes, our will, our feelings, our character and even our thoughts. This is the greatest commandment and is the pinnacle of what it means to be a Christian. This sacrificial love is what the Lord has shown us through his Son Jesus. This love of God is measured by our love for our neighbor; Jesus came to show us what this love is and what it means to love our neighbor. Let us love God with everything we are and everything we have. There are several upcoming events: we are looking for adults who are willing to assist as altar servers and lectors. There will be a training for the servers from 3:30-4:30 Nov. 10th in church. I request those who are willing to assist at the altar as servers to please come for the training. For the lectors training is scheduled after masses Nov. 10 & 11. The month of November is dedicated to praying for the deceased members of our family and the souls in purgatory. Let us pray for all the brethren who have passed from our families and those of our parish family. May the Lord grant them eternal rest through the mercy of God. Sincerely, Your brother in Christ, Fr. Francis J. Kalapurackal Administrator
