Aspects of Salvation Interpreting different Scriptures regarding Salvation
What is Salvation?
Salvation is God s intervention through His Son Jesus to redeem us back to Him.
Salvation is God s intervention through His Son Jesus to save us from His wrath.
Salvation is God s intervention to deliver us from sickness, disease, poverty, unclean spirts and from the powers of darkness.
Salvation is God s intervention to deliver us from being ruled by the senses.
Salvation is God s intervention through His son to bring us into a right relationship with Him.
There are some who will pick and choose certain Scriptures about Salvation and live by them.
The Bible intends for us to understand that ALL Scripture is necessary and useful for us to learn what God wants us to know about Salvation. 2 Timothy 3.16-17
All Scripture is Godbreathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16-17
so that person of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
The true believer must be equipped with all the Scriptures and not just one here and there.
Let s start by looking at various Scriptures that reveal Salvation

These different Scriptures individually convey to us only part of the Salvation picture.
Any one of these by themselves would be insufficient for us to live by them and understand Salvation.
It is not possible to gain a comprehensive understanding by just selecting a single Scripture on Salvation to live by. It will present an incomplete view of Salvation.
First and foremost Salvation is a condition of faith in heart.
Faith is part of man s divine nature and comes from within his heart. It does not come from his mind or his natural understanding. It is a Spiritual thing.
Faith comes to you by hearing the Divine Message of God. Your heart receives that message by Faith. Romans 10.17
So then, Salvation works through Faith 2 Timothy 3.15
Faith works through Love. Galatians 5.6
God is Love and he that abides in Love abides in God and God in Him. 1 John 4:7-12
When we receive God; and allow Him He saves us from His wrath, delivers us from the power of the enemy and restores us Spiritually.
He delivers us from being ruled by the senses so that we so that we should no longer live in the futility of our mind. Galatians 5:16.18
God delivers us from the power of the enemy which is sickness and disease and the oppression of unclean spirits.
Salvation Scriptures on confessing and believing.
We are Saved from the wrath of God by confessing our belief that Jesus is both Christ and Lord Romans 10.9
The Bible intends for us to understand that when we believe for Salvation in our heart that belief expresses itself.
For a person believes [in Christ] with his heart in order to be right with God, and that person makes an appeal to God. Romans 10.10
Our heart provokes our mouth to speak out from the soul.
For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 10.10
Most Christians believe Jesus is the Christ but that s as far as the go, they never make him Lord of their life by living for Him or letting Him live through them 1 John 4.9
The Baptism Scriptures on Salvation.
We are Saved, Delivered and Born of God and we receive the outward expression of that inward belief. Titus 3.5
We are Saved, Delivered and Born of God when we are Baptized and again Baptized with the Holy Spirit. Titus 3.5
We are truly saved when we have a genuine heart change (i.e. believe and confess) and baptized into Jesus Christ as an outward expression of the inward belief.
Peter intends for us to know that Baptism is necessary. Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you 1 Peter 3.21
Baptism into Jesus Christ washes our Spirit from our sins translating our Spirit out of darkness into Light. Our Spirit becomes borne of God. 1 Peter 2.9
Once we act upon our faith we change the way we live.
When we receive Christ we become a new being. 2 Corinthians 5:17
The one that really believes That person is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of God Colossians 3:10
put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him " Colossians 3:10
The Bible intends for us to understand that we need to be doing good things after we are renewed.
Scriptures on Works that are needed for Salvation.
The apostle James indicates that we need works
What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? James 2.14
Our life must then persevere in doing good.
God will render to each person according to his deeds: to those who by perseverance in doing good and seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;" Romans 2:6-7

Salvation is to know the only true God John 17.3
Our life must model the life of Christ. John 13.14
Humility is reflected in the life of Christ.
Jesus always had the nature of God, but he did not think that by force he should try to remain equal with God. Philippians 2.6
Instead of this, of his own free will he gave up all he had, and took the nature of a servant. Philippians 2:7
True Salvation is to know the only true God, and His Son Jesus Christ. John 17.3
When you come to know God He will reveal His Son so that you have a relationship with Him and make Him Lord of your life Salvation is to know Him.
