Scripture Prayers and Promises I have found that many people who really love the Lord, don t realize how much He loves them. He has come that we might have life and life more abundantly. If you are a Christian, you are in covenant with God. Through Jesus, the blessings of Abraham are brought to us if we believe in Him and His promises. Galatians 3:13-14 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us for it is s written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree in order that the blessings of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith. So what are the blessings of Abraham? The following verses elaborate Abraham s promises. Read them carefully. This covenant covers every aspect of our lives. Deuteronomy 28: 1-10 Now it shall be, if you will diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you will obey the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the offspring of your body and the produce of your ground and the offspring of your beasts, the increase of your herd, and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. The Lord will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they shall come out against you one way, and shall flee before you seven ways. The Lord will command the blessing upon you in your barns and in all that you put your hand to, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you. And the Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your beast and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to you to give you. The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens to give rain to your land in its season
and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord shall make you the head and not the tail, and you only shall be above and you shall not be underneath, if you will listen to the commandments of the Lord your God, which I charge you today, to observe them carefully. And do not turn aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. Psalm 1:1-3 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of the sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scoffers. But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night, And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither, and in whatever he does he prospers. Psalm 91:1; 11-16
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways; they will bear you up in their hands lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and cobra, the young lion and the serpent you will trample down. Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him. I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and let him behold My salvation. Isaiah 53:5 But He (Jesus) was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. Isaiah 54:14, 17 In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you. No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment, you will condemn. This is
the heritage of the saints of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me, says the Lord. The next three groups of scriptures are very powerful. Think about what they say, and pray them over yourself and your loved ones often. Ephesians 1:16-19 I do not cease to give thanks for you while making mention of you in my prayers that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. Ephesians 3:14-21 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man
So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, And to know the love of Christ, which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, To Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen Colossians 1:9-12 For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, So that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience,
Joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. I John 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. When praying for your children, these scriptures may be helpful: Deuteronomy 30:6 Moreover the lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, in order that you may live. Psalm 112:2 Praise the Lord! How blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty upon the earth. The generation of the upright will be blessed. Proverbs 11:21 Assuredly, the evil man will not go unpunished, but the descendants of the righteous will be delivered.
Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground. I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring and My blessing on your descendants. Isaiah 54:13 And all your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great. Isaiah 59:21 And as for Me, this is My covenant with them, says the Lord: My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring s offspring. Says the Lord, from now and forever. Isaiah 61:9 Then their offspring will be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them will recognize them because they are the offspring whom the Lord has blessed. Jeremiah 31:16-17
Thus says the Lord, Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work shall be rewarded, declares the Lord. And they shall return from the land of the enemy. And there is hope for your future, declares the Lord. And your children shall return to their own territory. Be Strong And Courageous, And Never Give Up Psalm 138:8 The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Thy lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting. Do not forsake the works of your hands. As you say the following verses, know that what you see will change when you trust in God. The change might not come immediately, but it will come. It s a promise! Habbakkuk 3:17-19 Though the fig tree should not blossom, and there be no fruit on the vine Though the yield of the olive should fail, and the fields produce no food. Though the flock should be cut off from the fold, and there be no cattle in the stalls. Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength.
And He has made my feet like hinds feet, and makes me walk on my high places. Jeremiah 33:10-11 Thus says the Lord, Yet again there shall be heard in this place, of which you say, It is a waste, without man and without beast, that is, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate without man and without inhabitant and without beast, The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Give thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, and His lovingkindness is everlasting. And of those who bring a thank offering into the house of the Lord. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were at first. Says the Lord. II Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Hebrews 6:10-12 For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, that you may not be sluggish, but through faith and patience inherit the promises.
