Speaker: Title: Prince Guneratnam The Judgment Seat f Christ INTRODUCTION The Judgement Seat f Christ will be the next event nce the Rapture takes place. Only believers will be at this Judgement t receive ur rewards dne in the bdy (2 Crinthians 5:10) Fr we must all appear befre the judgment seat f Christ, that each ne may receive the things dne in the bdy, accrding t what he has dne, whether gd r bad. THE WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT (Revelatin 20:11-15) 11 Then I saw a great white thrne and Him wh sat n it, frm whse face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was fund n place fr them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing befre Gd, and bks were pened. And anther bk was pened, which is the Bk f Life. And the dead were judged accrding t their wrks, by the things which were written in the bks. 13 The sea gave up the dead wh were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead wh were in them. And they were judged, each ne accrding t his wrks. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast int the lake f fire. This is the secnd death. 15 And anyne nt fund written in the Bk f Life was cast int the lake f fire. In the Gspels, Jesus tells f the end f the age, will be the final Judgement. 1. The separatin f the sheep frm the gats (Matthew 25:31-34; 41) 31 When the Sn f Man cmes in His glry, and all the hly angels with Him, then He will sit n the thrne f His glry. 32 All the natins will be gathered befre Him, and He will separate them ne frm anther, as a shepherd divides his sheep frm the gats. 33 And He will set the sheep n His right hand, but the gats n the left. 34 Then the King will say t thse n His right hand, Cme, yu blessed f My Father, inherit the kingdm prepared fr yu frm the fundatin f the wrld: 41 Then He will als say t thse n the left hand, Depart frm Me, yu cursed, int the everlasting fire prepared fr the devil and his angels: 2. The separatin f the wheat frm the tares (Matthew 13:38-43) 38 The field is the wrld, the gd seeds are the sns f the kingdm, but the tares are the sns f the wicked ne. 39 The enemy wh swed them is the devil, the harvest is the end f the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefre as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, s it will be at the end f this age. 41 The Sn f Man will send ut His angels, and they will gather ut f His kingdm all things that ffend, and thse wh practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them int the furnace f fire. There will be wailing and gnashing f teeth. 43 Then the righteus will shine frth as the sun in the kingdm f their Father. He wh has ears t hear, let him hear!
Our wrks dne in the bdy will be classified in terms f gld, silver, precius stnes, wd, hay r straw and it will be revealed by fire. (1 Crinthians 3:12-15) 12 Nw if anyne builds n this fundatin with gld, silver, precius stnes, wd, hay, straw, 13 each ne s wrk will becme clear; fr the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each ne s wrk, f what srt it is. 14 If anyne s wrk which he has built n it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyne s wrk is burned, he will suffer lss; but he himself will be saved, yet s as thrugh fire. It des matter, as a brn-again believer: Hw yu live are yu living a disciplined life? What yu d are yu substituting sacrifice fr bedience? Hw yu use what yu have are yu a faithful steward? THE PURPOSE FOR THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST Nt T Judge Befre The Time - Until The Lrd Cmes (1Crinthians 4:1-5 NKJV) 1 Let a man s cnsider us, as servants f Christ and stewards f the mysteries f Gd. 2 Mrever it is required in stewards that ne be fund faithful. 3 But with me it is a very small thing that I shuld be judged by yu r by a human curt. In fact, I d nt even judge myself. 4 Fr I knw f nthing against myself, yet I am nt justified by this; but He wh judges me is the Lrd. 5 Therefre judge nthing befre the time, until the Lrd cmes, wh will bth bring t light the hidden things f darkness and reveal the cunsels f the hearts. Then each ne s praise will cme frm Gd. (1Crinthians 4:1-5 The Message) 1-4Dn't imagine us leaders t be smething we aren't. We are servants f Christ, nt his masters. We are guides int Gd's mst sublime secrets, nt security guards psted t prtect them. The requirements fr a gd guide are reliability and accurate knwledge. It matters very little t me what yu think f me, even less where I rank in ppular pinin. I dn't even rank myself. Cmparisns in these matters are pintless. I'm nt aware f anything that wuld disqualify me frm being a gd guide fr yu, but that desn't mean much. The Master makes that judgment. 5S dn't get ahead f the Master and jump t cnclusins with yur judgments befre all the evidence is in. When he cmes, he will bring ut in the pen and place in evidence all kinds f things we never even dreamed f inner mtives and purpses and prayers. Only then will any ne f us get t hear the "Well dne!" f Gd. Judge nthing befre the time, until the Lrd cmes Dn t get ahead f the Master and jump t cnclusins with yur judgments befre all the evidence is in
T light the hidden things f darkness and reveal the cunsels f the hearts [acts and intents] He will bring ut in the pen and place in evidence all kinds f things we never even dreamed f inner mtives and purpses and prayers. When Gd judges us- He judges ur actins with ur attitudes. Man is incapable f judging ur intentins. Sme f ur actins seem wrng till ur attitudes are knw T Reveal The True Wrks Of The Believers As stewards f Gd, we can build n the fundatin f Jesus Christ with tw sets f materials: GOLD, SILVER AND PRECIOUS STONES Gld Spiritual When yu depend slely n the pwer f the Hly Spirit and nt n yurself t serve the Lrd (Zechariah 4:6) Nt by might nr by pwer, but by My Spirit, Says the LORD f hsts. Silver Stewardship When yu are willing t use what He has given yu fr His purpse and glry. Precius stnes Discipline These are builders stnes and speak f steadfastness, cnsistency and faithfulness. Yu are rewarded fr yur spirituality, sacrifice, faithfulness and steadfastness WOOD, HAY AND STUBBLE Wd Unspiritual Carnal means and nt spiritual, depending n yur wn ratinal and ability Hay Bad Stewardship Wrng use f what yu have. Ding fr what yu can get earthly rewards fr fame, psitin and etc. Stubble Undisciplined Acting as a hypcrite having a frm but denying the truth
T Receive Our Reward As Faithful Stewards Our rewards will be crwns The Crwn Of Righteusness (2 Timthy 4:8) Finally, there is laid up fr me the crwn f righteusness, which the Lrd, the righteus Judge, will give t me n that Day, and nt t me nly but als t all wh have lved His appearing. The Crwn Of Life (James 1:12) Blessed is the man wh endures temptatin; fr when he has been apprved, he will receive the crwn f life which the Lrd has prmised t thse wh lve Him. (Revelatin 2:10) D nt fear any f thse things which yu are abut t suffer. Indeed, the devil is abut t thrw sme f yu int prisn, that yu may be tested, and yu will have tribulatin ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give yu the crwn f life 3. The Crwn Of Glry (1Peter 5:4) and when the Chief Shepherd appears, yu will receive the crwn f glry that des nt fade away. The Crwn Of Gld (Revelatin 4:4) Arund the thrne were twenty-fur thrnes, and n the thrnes I saw twentyfur elders sitting, clthed in white rbes; and they had crwns f gld n their heads. Man s rewards will perish n earth. Gd s rewards are eternal. (1 Crinthians 9:24-27) 24 D yu nt knw that thse wh run in a race all run, but ne receives the prize? Run in such a way that yu may btain it. 25 And everyne wh cmpetes fr the prize is temperate in all things. Nw they d it t btain a perishable crwn, but we fr an imperishable crwn. 26 Therefre I run thus: nt with uncertainty. Thus I fight: nt as ne wh beats the air. 27 But I discipline my bdy and bring it int subjectin, lest, when I have preached t thers, I myself shuld becme disqualified
CONCLUSION Jesus warns us, Behld, I am cming quickly! Hld fast what yu have, that n ne may take yur crwn. (Revelatin 3:11) The Bible says the 24 Elders cast their crwns at the feet f Jesus. When yur turn cmes, will yu have crwns t cast at His feet? It will be mre than being embarrassment, it will be heart breaking great pain and srrw fr thse wh dn t have a crwn. (1 Crinthians 3:15) If anyne s wrk is burned, he will suffer lss; but he himself will be saved, yet s as thrugh fire. (Revelatin 21:4) And Gd will wipe away every tear frm their eyes; there shall be n mre death, nr srrw, nr crying. There shall be n mre pain, fr the frmer things have passed away.
