From the Pastor s Pen Dear Friends: We are finalizing our stewardship series, First with a light hearted video and hopefully a meaningful message that reminds us that each of us has something to add inside the church and outward to the community. I loved how we worked together to promote Hillfest; even with the rain and cool temperatures, we enjoyed the day. Our community garden outreach was successful for a first-year a empt. One important lesson learned was to build trust in the community. We can never assume our neighbors are aware of the benefits we think we are offering. It may take seven invita ons before they begin to think that you want them to join you in any one event or ac vity. Our Opera on Back Pack ministry is progressing but not as vigorous as last year. Hopefully the families we served in the past are be er and in less need of assistance. Our Disaster Relief Team served the community of West Plains and returned safe and happy to have assisted. Adopt-A-Family is calcula ng the funds received at the Golf Tournament, and looking forward to the Christmas season when we reach out to families and children in the community. As we look back over the year and give thanks for the many blessings received and the improvements we ve worked hard to complete, let us be grateful. Grateful for the love of God, love of neighbor and the growth we ve experienced in Christ. I am glad to be your pastor and look forward to another year of serving Christ in this community of faith. May God bless us each and every one, Connections is published each month. Our church vision is to Live for God, Love our neighbor, and Grow in Christ. Visit us at 725 Wall Street, Wentzville.
