Love Grows Here ADAM Road CHURCH NEWS Hymn Evangelistic Service (26-27 June) Hallelujah, praise the Lord! Our mid-year hymn evangelistic services were held in Telok Kurau church on the evenings of 26 &27 June. Adam Road members also fasted and prayed for the event and distributed tracts on 20 June. A total of 6500 tracts were distributed in Hougang estate. The theme of these special services was "The Greatest Wealth" and it was indeed a blessing that the choirs from Telok Kurau and Adam Road churches were able to bring the message of salvation to our relatives and friends through hymns. Short messages were also shared with the truth seekers where Preacher Ho Jung Yu spoke about Jesus being the greatest wealth a man can find. There were 23 truth seeking friends who came for the first night, and about 51 friends joined us for the second night. Please remember your friends and relatives each time we have such outreach events as you are their bridge to know Christ. May God continue to bless us in our work to bring the gospel to everyone who have yet to hear about our Lord Jesus salvation plan. Junior Youth Bible Seminar It was a short run, but thank God that His love has brought us together and for all the wonderful memories forged over the past 5 days as we drew closer to Him through prayer and His word! By the grace and mercy of God, as we prayed really earnestly for Him with vehement cries and tears in the final few days, 2 of our youths received the precious Holy Spirit! Furthermore, the vision which He had left us in our final lunchtime prayer of angels laying hands on all our brothers and sisters who were praying for the Holy Spirit brings much comfort and encouragement: the Lord was truly in our midst, watching over us and listening to our humble cries. Let us press on and continue to pray earnestly for the Holy Spirit, young epistles and ambassadors of Christ! Intermediate Youth Fellowship for new-comers We thank God some Intermediate Youths hosted a fellowship in Adam Road Church on the 22 June to give a warm welcome for younger overseas members and truth-seeking friends. Encouraging each other with hymns, working together in an exciting game, and getting to know each other better over dinner, this session reinforced the importance of having spiritual buddies. We pray God will bless us each with friends in church that bring us closer to God, while we ourselves may become such a friend to others. All glory be given to God. "Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken." (Ecclesiastes 4:12) 3
