Thank You: My children and I are extremely grateful to our St. Joseph's Parish family for the many acts of kindness and prayers that you have offered for us over the past weeks. We especially thank Fr. Tony Bickett, Fr. Dave Johnson, Fr. Richard Meredith, Deacon Dale DePoyster, T.J. Dennison, Bethany Kannapel, Marv Mantooth and servers, Chloe and Forest Collard, who assisted our family with the beautiful memorial Mass for Phyllis. The St. Joseph's Altar Society, Pineview Nursery, parishioners and friends; you all outdid yourselves with the wonderful meal you provided for our family and friends. A "Thank You!" seems inadequate for the sincere appreciation we feel. May God bless each of you. Kenneth Minton, and family St. Joseph Prayer List: Josh Ammons, Laska Anderson, Mary Beckner, Bonnie Blanton, Pat Boone, Troy Burkhart, Alton Cannon, George Cannon, Anna Critchelow, Mary Davis, Bob Deweese, Delbert Durham, Ken Farris, Camila Falcon, Dick Gatto, Sheila Gibson, Linda Handus, Rick M. Church participation leads men to become more engaged husbands and fathers. Those who go to church more than once a week enjoy better health than those who attend only once a week.

R C I A Journey of Faith: The topic for this Thursday class, October 25 is A Tour of the Church. You are welcome to attend anytime. Please encouraged anyone you know who may be interested in becoming Catholic to attend as well. Sessions are held on Thursdays at 6:00 pm in the parish hall. For more information contact T. J. Church Tour All Aboard A Tour of the Church: This Thursday, October 25, our RCIA session will be held in church. If you would like to know more about the different parts of our church, what things mean, some history of each object, then join us at 6:00 pm in church. St. John s Thrift Store: We are in need of plastic bags please. St. Paul School: There will be a pork chop dinner at St. Elizabeth this Friday, October 26 at 6:00 pm. Reflection on the Readings: For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45) If you held a mirror up to your life, would it reflect God s love and mercy? If you are struggling with this, try changing your attitude from I want more to thank you God for everything you have given me, I have enough to share. This change in perspective will bring you joy through service to others. Box of Joy: Please return by November 1. Koinonia: Koinonia is a Greek word that means community. This is also the name of a Catholic retreat weekend to be held at St. Elizabeth from Friday-Sunday, November 16-18. For more information contact Amy DePoyster 270-230-6817 or Beth Geary 270-589-2601. Chili Supper & Auction: St. Joseph Altar Society annual Chili Supper & Auction will ne held on Saturday, November 3. Supper will be served beginning at 5:00 pm with the live auction beginning at 6:30 pm. Auction Items: St. Joseph Altar Society would appreciated any items you would be willing to donate to for their upcoming auction. Altar Society Dues: Everyone in the parish may be a member of our altar society. The annual dues are only $5. You may also contribute to the altar society by donating $10, $20, or $100. Community Food Pantry: We are now collecting non-perishable food items for the community food pantry box next to our church. Handyman: Since we do not have a maintenance person for our parish we are looking for anyone who could help our parish out as handymen. There are times when we need a light bulb changed, a toilet fixed, tables & chairs set up, weeds pulled, boxes moved, a ceiling tile replaced, a wall hole patched, a small paint job. If you are retired or have some free time during the day and would be interested in being called on for some of these jobs, please let us know. Thank You!
