ANNUNCIATION PARISH Palm Sunday 2017 Sunday, April 9 Gather at 9:00 a.m. Hot Cross Bun Breakfast Palm Weaving & other Holy Week activities 10:30 a.m. (One Mass Sunday Morning) Mass beginning with Blessing of Palm and a Procession with Palm St. Vincent de Paul Meeting Our Annunciation Parish St. Vincent de Paul Conference will have their monthly meeting this Tuesday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. All are welcome to become involved in this outreach ministry that seeks to provide emergency material assistance to those in our neighborhood who are in need. Attention Altar Servers & Lectors! Please remember that if you are scheduled to Lector at Mass the weekend of April 8/9, there is a practice on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. If you are scheduled to be an Altar Server the weekend of April 8/9, there is a practice at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8. Annunciation School Faith Formation News Our weekly celebration of Morning Prayer with students and faculty, preschool-8th grade, is Thursday, April 6th at 9:30 a.m. in church. The Sacred Paschal Triduum, the highpoint of our entire Church Year, will be celebrated sundown Thursday, April 13 to sundown Sunday, April 16. As a parish community, it is important that we celebrate the Triduum together. Mark your calendars and plan your schedules now, so that all family members can join us for the great liturgies of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord! Pray for Persecuted Christians! Remember to pray for Christians around the world who are being persecuted daily for our faith. A suggested prayer can be found in church in the basket on the altar rail below our icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Our Lady of Perpetual help, pray for us! FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT APRIL 2, 2017 CRS Rice Bowl Week Five: Ethiopia Photo by Petterik Wiggers for Catholic Relief Services Dita Abdo (gray shawl with red leaves), a mother of seven and recent graduate of CRS DFAP program, participates in SILC, which has enabled her to purchase additional livestock, and send her children to school. She s also received food and cash as payment for working n public works projects in her community. She is also part of a producer co-op that makes and sells fuel-efficient stoves for extra income, and opened her own shop with SILC savings and loans. Despite the severe drought, her family is self sufficient enough to cope with the impact. Learn more at www.crsricebowl.org. Easter Memorial Flowers Once again this year, you are invited to make a donation for Easter Flowers in honor of or in memory of your family/friends. Extra envelopes are located on the tables at the doors of church, or you may place your donation in a plain envelope and mark it Easter Flowers. Please make certain to note in whose memory these flowers are being donated. Your donation will provide beautiful flowers for our parish church throughout the entire Easter Season!
