Amen. FOR YOUR PRAYERS THIS WEEK In the worldwide Anglican Communion we pray for The Church in the Province of the West Indies. We pray for the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican Province of Hong Kong & Macau); for Paul, our archbishop and primate; and for all bishops, priests and deacons within our diocese and province. We pray for All Saints Cathedral; for their development of various nurture ministries; strengthen faith and edify spiritual fellowship among the congregation that they can serve the Lord as faithful and wise housekeepers; For the development of the Sunday school and Youth Ministries; For the members of the Catechism Class; For the outreach ministries of the Cathedral; For the teaching staff and students of All Saints Middle School and Kei Wing Primary School. Within the Cathedral Parish we pray for the Cathedral church and its various congregations, for the Dean and the chaplains; for our daughter churches; St Stephen s Chapel, Stanley, Discovery Bay Church and Emmanuel Church, Pokfulam; and their Priests in Charge. We also remember our Council members, Cathedral Staff, Cathedral Servers, Cathedral Sidesmen, Poverty Alleviation Group, our Prison Ministry, Music Ministry, and Lunchtime Recitals. We also pray for our link Diocese of Toungoo, Myanmar; for Bishop John Wilme, his priests and people. We pray for the evangelistic and mission work conducted throughout the Diocese. NOTICES CLERGY This morning, the Revd Catherine Graham is leading the service at Discovery Bay Church. GUEST PREACHER The Revd Harry Ching is currently serving his curacy at Christ Church Jebel Ali, Dubai, in the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf. Christ Church is a vibrant international congregation, as well as hosting 45 guest congregations of different denominations and worshiping in different languages in its compound every weekend. Christ Church has a special responsibility in wedding ministry, there were 350+ weddings took place at Christ Church in 2017. ORDINATION AT ST JOHN S TODAY Please pray for all to be ordained this evening here at St John s, especially Walter Wai Lun Lau to be ordained to the sacred priesthood and Lorraine Lok Mei Choi and Jason Chi Wai Leung to be ordained to the order of deacon. Please remember these candidates and their families as they start a new chapter in their Christian ministry. As we see these new deacons and priests ordained, please pray for vocations to the sacred ministry within our diocese and province. FLOWERS The flower pedestal this Sunday is donated in memory of the late Mrs Mary Chen who passed away on 25 th September 2018. MICHAELMAS FAIR The Fair held yesterday was a great success. Members of the congregation, visitors, young and old, mingled with one another to share and enjoy a funfilled day. Praise be to God! We pray that everyone who came experienced the joy and love of Christ among us. Thanks and congratulations to the organizing committee headed by Chairman Vincent Leung, performers, donors, stallholders, congregational members and Cathedral staff who made it all possible. The Dean CHRISTIANS IN CENTRAL Tuesday 6 th November 2018 2018 is the 100 th Anniversary of WWI. Today, it still has a large group of believers and many church buildings of various scales and history. During the pilgrimage, we will visit the several cities in the province under the arrangement of the Shandong Christian Church. In addition to understanding the development of the church in Mainland and communicating with local church leaders and believers, we will also visit the birthplace of Confucianism, Qufu and the majestic mountain of Taishan.
