Welcome to this time of worship and prayer. ASSEMBLING IN GOD S NAME WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS Welcome to those visiting today! Please fill out a Visitor Card found in the pew rack and place it in the Offering Plate. Also, everyone please pass the red fellowship pad down the pew and back again noticing those with whom you are worshiping today. Prayer Cards are in the pew racks. Mitten Tree The Mitten Tree will be in the White Chapel where we will be collecting mittens, gloves, scarves, hats, and socks (a new addition this year!) to distribute to needy children and young adults in the community. We are starting in October so that the children may have them before the weather gets cold. Monetary contributions are also welcome to help us fill in any items that are needed. Thank you for your continued support of this worthy endeavor. Dr. Phipps Exhibit November 1, 2018 A special exhibit in commemoration of Dr. Phipps' work will be on display in the Scholar's Room on the third floor of Booth Library at D&E College from 3:30-5pm. 2018 Phipps Lecture November 1, 2018 This will be held in the Joni and Buck Smith Arts Forum at the Myles Center for the Arts on the D&E campus at 7:00pm. World Community Day November 2, 2018 Church Women United will hold this meeting at Otterbein United Methodist Church at 1100 South Davis Ave. Luncheon will be served at Noon with the program and business meeting to follow. Lessons & Carols December 6, 2018 The D&E College Concert Choir will once again be presenting this popular program. The program will begin at 7:00pm with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. WELCA Annual Christmas Bazaar December 8, 2018 This will be held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church located at 302 First Street. The Bazaar will begin at 9am. The Ladies of the Church will provide soup & sandwiches for lunch beginning at 11:00am. Lunch may be eaten there or carried out. Please stop by and see all the goodies they have for sale! Disaster Relief You can help our brothers and sisters in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia by donating money to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance which supports the church s response to hurricanes and typhoons around the world.
