Church Life Updates Church Bowling Night: Join us at Mount Airy Lanes at 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 28 for a Church Bowling Night. No charge but please bring snacks to share and donations will be accepted for Hurricane Florence relief. Rehearsal Changes: There will be no children s Christmas program rehearsal on October 28 due to Bowling Night. Additionally, the handbells are now rehearsing each Wednesday (instead of Sundays) at 6:15 p.m. Backpacks for Appalachia: If you signed up to sponsor a Christmas Backpack for Appalachia please remember to bring them to the Chapel by Sunday, October 28. Soup Ministry: Women in Mission will prepare soup for the homebound on Tuesday, October 30 at 9 a.m. If you would like to help, please bring sandwiches or dessert for sharing at lunch. In early November, our pastor plans to take his annual sermon planning retreat, during which he ll be outlining a preaching plan for the coming year. That means that in the coming weeks you ll have a chance to share your input about the kind of messages you need to hear. Please be thinking about the areas in which you need to grow, the parts of the Bible you d like to understand, the doctrines about which you ve got questions, and the topics you d like to study and be prepared to share those in the coming weeks.
