OLD TESTAMENT READING Genesis 45:1-8 (NKJV) Joseph Revealed to His Brothers 1 Then Joseph could not restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried out, Make everyone go out from me! So no one stood with him while Joseph made himself known to his brothers. 2 And he wept aloud, and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard it. 3 Then Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph; does my father still live? But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence. 4 And Joseph said to his brothers, Please come near to me. So they came near. Then he said: I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. 5 But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. 6 For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. 7 And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8 So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. NEW TESTAMENT READING Philippians 1:1-11 (NKJV) LEADER: CONG: LEADER: CONG: LEADER: CONG: ALL: Paul and Timothy, bondservants of Jesus Christ, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; Just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. 5
Come Thou Fount Come, thou Fount of ev- ry blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise: Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above; Praise the mount! I m fixed upon it, Mount of Thy redeeming love. Here I raise mine Ebenezer; Hither by Thy help I m come; And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at home: Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wan - d'ring from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, Interposed His precious blood. O to grace how great a debtor Daily I m constrained to be! Let Thy grace, Lord, like a fetter, Bind my wand d ring heart to Thee: Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love; Here s my heart, Lord, take and seal it Seal it for Thy courts above 6
