Moral Dilemmas First, we need define moral dilemma...to do this, we ll have to look at what is a moral dilemma.

a Moral Dilemma Imagine a problem with two solutions. ne solution is the right answer and the other solution is the wrong answer.

a Moral Dilemma A train is running out of control down a track. In its path are 15 people who have been tied to the track. Fortunately, you can flip a switch that will lead the train down a different track to avoid hitting the 15 people, which would save their lives. hould you flip the switch?

Moral Dilemmas A K Imagine a problem with two solutions. either solution is right or wrong. You must decide the best solution.

Moral Dilemmas A train is hurtling down a track towards 15 people. he only way you can stop the train is by dropping a very heavy weight in front of it to save the 15 people. You notice there is a very fat man next to you who could be pushed on the track to save the 15 people. However, doing this will kill the one very fat man to save the 15 people. hould you push the very fat man on the track to save the 15 people?

Moral Dilemmas oday, you will be given 3 moral dilemmas. Read the situation and answer the question as best you can. pend about 7 minutes answering the question; no talking during the 7 minutes. 4-6 sentences are RQUIRD for each answer. After 7 minutes, we will discuss our answers. Questions before we get started?

Heinz Dilemma A woman was near death from cancer. here was one drug that the doctors thought might save her. he drug was expensive, but the druggist was charging ten times what the drug cost him to make. He paid $200 for the drug and charged $2,000 for it. he sick woman's husband, Heinz, went to everyone he knew to borrow the money, but he could only get together about $1,000, which is half of what it would cost. He told the druggist that his wife was dying and asked him to sell it cheaper or let him pay later. But, the druggist said: "o, I discovered the drug and I'm going to make money from it." o, Heinz got desperate and broke into the man's store and stole the drug for his wife. QUI: hould Heinz have broken into the lab to steal the drug for his wife? Why or why not? Look at the passage above and use examples for your reasoning!

rue Love Your 18-year old brother comes home one night and explains that he wishes to get married to his true love, a woman who he met three (3) months ago. Unfortunately, both of your parents are against the marriage they threaten that if your brother gets married to his true love, your parents will banish and disown your brother forever, meaning you would never see him again. QUI: hould your brother get married to his true love? Why or why not? Are there any factors from this situation--length of time they ve been dating, the age of your brother, etc.--that influence your decision? xplain.

he Right o Kill IUAI #1: A man is in prison because he has killed someone in cold blood. He is on death row waiting to be killed by lethal electrocution. IUAI #2: A woman is terminally ill with cancer and is in extreme pain on a daily basis. he wants to die by euthanasia (assisted suicide by injection). QUI: Look at both situations. Would it ever be right to end a person s life in any of these circumstances? Why or why not? xplain your answer. What factors of these situations influence your decision?
