Mission Statement Deepen our Faith, lead others to Christ and strengthen the Catholic Community of Ogdensburg Diocese through the Cursillo Method, helping committed Christians to evangelize their environments by living out the Gospel message together. Vision Statement Encourage individuals to deepen their relationship with Christ and be fully Christian as living tripods of piety, study, and action, transforming their environments to be more Christian. Objective Further develop and grow the Catholic Cursillo Movement in the Ogdensburg Diocese, to strengthen the Faith of the Catholic Community in Northern New York through the Cursillo Method and in concert with the Diocesan Pastoral Plan. This will be accomplished through the efforts of the Secretariat, the School of Leaders, Small Groups and Ultreyas to live committed Christian lives while supporting each other s work of evangelizing their environments. 2014 and 2015 Accomplishments Northern NY Cursillo Movement of Ogdensburg Diocese was re-established with full approval and support of Bishop Terry LaValley and the National and Regional Cursillo Movements. Operating bylaws were developed - 1Q 2014 Bishop LaValley approved bylaws and appointed a Spiritual Advisor and an Interim Lay Director - 2Q 2014 Bylaws were approved by Regional and National Secretariats - 3Q 2014 An Interim Secretariat was formed including Assistant Director, Secretary, Treasurer, Pre Cursillo Chair, Cursillo Weekend Chair, Post Cursillo Chair and Two Members at Large - 4Q 2014 An Apostolic Plan was developed by Secretariat and approved by Bishop LaValley - 1Q 2015 A library of Cursillo literature was developed and made available to all NNY Cursillistas at SOL - 4Q 2014 and Ongoing A School of Leaders Was Established to Implement the Authentic Cursillo Method in Our Diocese - 4Q 2014 and Ongoing Several SOL sessions were held during 2015 with an average of 15-20 persons attending A training plan was developed and implemented to ensure leaders, sponsors, team members and SOL members understand Cursillo ideals and objectives and their roles and responsibilities to support the Cursillo Movement - 4Q 2014 Technique and spiritual talks were initiated at SOL meetings Northern New York Cursillo Apostolic Plan Version 02.02.16 3
A Pre Cursillo Section was developed and work was done to inform parishes within the diocese of the Cursillo Movement and find candidates for the weekends - 1Q 2105 and Ongoing A Regional Workshop was held in Plattsburgh to help SOL members to better understand Pre Cursillo methods 1Q 2015 A workshop was presented to the Deacon Convocation in Lake Placid 2Q 2015 Pulpit talks were given at Masses in all Adirondack deanery parishes and in several parishes of Clinton, Franklin, Jefferson, St. Lawrence and Lewis deaneries 1Q 2014 thru 3Q 2015 A Cursillo Weekend Section was developed and work was done to secure venues for Cursillo Weekends, identify rectors, rectoras and team members and to facilitate/support all aspects of Cursillo Weekends - 1Q 2015 and Ongoing Men s Weekends were held Aug. 17, 2014 (9 attendees) and Sept. 10, 2015 (8 attendees) Women s Weekends were held Aug. 24, 2014 (15 attendees) and Sept. 17, 2015 (24 attendees) A Post Cursillo Section was developed and work was done to encourage Cursillistas to persevere in the Christian life and provide leaven to their environments -1Q 2015 and Ongoing Over 170 Cursillistas in the diocese were identified and contacted YE 2015 Small groups were formed in Plattsburgh, Peru, Brasher Falls and Watertown and 4 Ultreyas are currently meeting 1Q 2016 Election Guidelines and Nomination Forms Were Developed and Sent to Active Cursillistas on Nov 19, 2015 Ballots were sent to all active Cursillistas - Jan. 15, 2016 Election completed and new officers assume office Feb 6, 2016 Northern New York Cursillo Apostolic Plan Version 02.02.16 4

Develop and Implement a Strategy for Handling Palanca for the Ogdensburg Cursillo Movement Develop a proposed plan for handling all aspects of palanca for Ogdensburg Cursillo Initiated: Dec. 2015 and Ongoing Appoint someone to be responsible to chair committee to handle all aspects of palanca Target: 1Q 2016 Continue to Identify and Contact past Cursillistas Living within the Ogdensburg Diocese Offer to pray for those in need, ask the inactive to consider participating by offering palanca Continue to Develop and Implement Training Plans to Ensure Leaders, Sponsors, Team Members and SOL Understand Cursillo Ideals and Objectives and Their Roles and Responsibilities to Support the Cursillo Movement Update and further develop the plan for SOL training once new officers are in place Target: 2Q 2016 Further Develop the Pre Cursillo Section within the SOL which is Responsible for Study of our environment, Creating Diocesan Wide Awareness of Cursillo, Preparing Sponsors, Selection and Preparation of Candidates for the Cursillo Continue to provide awareness presentations to priests, deacons and vowed religious and invite them to attend Ultreyas and participate in Cursillo Target: 3Q 2016 Northern New York Cursillo Apostolic Plan Version 02.02.16 6
