In Our Parish... The St. Bonaventure Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order (SFO) happily shares the news of our upcoming professions. Jeffrey Wilson and Penelope Coron will make a permanent commitment to the Gospel Life as they profess into the Secular Franciscan Order. The Rite of Profession will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 12:30 pm., here at Sacred Heart Church, with a Mass. At their profession Jeffrey and Penelope promise to follow the Rule of Life of the Secular Franciscan Order, pledging themselves to live the Gospel in the manner of St. Francis. Secular Franciscans live out their calling to the Franciscan life in a par cular way in their homes and families, at work, in their parishes and in the world. Around the Diocese... Marriage Prepara on Marriage Prepara on: To schedule a wedding, an engaged couple must meet with their parish priest or deacon at least eight months before their proposed wedding date. Prepara on for the sacrament includes a ending a diocesan program such as Engaged Encounter or Pre Cana. Also, couples of child bearing age will need to take a full course of Natural Family Planning. Pre registra on for each of these programs is mandatory. The next Engaged Encounter program will be November 16 th 18 th at Marywood Retreat Center.
