John 13:1 niv It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for Him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

John 14:15-24 Obedience is Jesus Expectation of Those Who Love Him.
John 14:15-18 niv 16 If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with 17 you forever, the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, 18 for He lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
John 14:19-21 niv Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will 20 see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in 21 you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. Obedience is Jesus Expectation of Those Who Love Him.
1 John 2:3 niv We know that we have come to know Him if we keep His commands.
1 John 5:1-4 niv Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and 2 everyone who loves the Father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying 3 out his commands. In fact, this is love for God: to keep His 4 commands. And His commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
John 21:15-16 niv When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon son of John, do you love me more than these? Yes, Lord, he said, you 16 know that I love you. Jesus said, Feed my lambs. Again Jesus said, Simon son of John, do you love me? He answered, Yes, Lord, you know that I love you. Jesus said, Take care of my sheep.

The Holy Spirit With Help In
Under the old covenant, the Spirit was present with believers in a general sense. But soon, as Christ promised His disciples, the Comforter would in an unprecedented way personally and permanently indwell those who believed. There was to come for believers a giving of the Spirit by which unique power would be provided for ministry and evangelism. That happened on the day of Pentecost, when the Spirit was given to believers in a new fullness that became normative for all believers since. (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:13) - John MacArthur -

There is no commandment greater than these.
