Developing Capacity For Your Faith Hebrews 11:1-6, Gal 3:5-7 Faith is the most important factor in our relationship with God and the foundation for Christian living. This is why the bible declares that the just shall live by faith. However, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. There is a hearing that brings faith in the heart of the believer. Such faith is full persuasion or the absolute conviction that what God says is true, real and would come to pass irrespective of any negating physical circumstance, evidence or report. Such faith pleases God and moves Him to act on our behalf. Every born again child of God has the measure of such faith but would need to continually develop it in order to make it keep producing results on all fronts. Our discussion today focuses on developing our faith to produce great results no matter the challenges we may face. Discussion 1. Why does our faith seem to be ineffective on occasions where we need it the most? Discuss. 2. The question is not whether you have faith, but what is your faith able to receive from God? Every Christian has the measure of faith at the point of salvation when they accepted Jesus as Lord but need to maintain and develop it to make it more productive (Rom 12:3). Below are strategies we can apply to continuously develop our faith for effectiveness all the time: a) Intense study of, and meditation on, the Word of God. 2Tim 2:15, Rom 10:17 b) Listening to inspired messages of anointed ministers of God Rom 15: 4, 2Pet 1:16 c) Praying in the spirit and speaking in tongues. Eph 4:11-15, Jude 20 d) Making Word-based confessions Heb 10:23 e) Taking action on what you have heard. Jn 13:17 f) Mention others Our walk with God is a walk of faith. It takes faith to get results from God. There is a hearing of God that brings faith. Therefore, all your efforts must be to hear God for yourself and act on it expecting to see a performance of His Word. Meditation, confessions, listening to messages, prayers, worship, and other spiritual exercises are means of building our capacity to hear from God and developing our faith to overcome all of life's challenges (Financial, Spiritual, Family, Career, Ministry. etc). As you grow in faith, you grow in the grace to succeed at anything in your life. You will succeed in Jesus name.

CHILDREN HOME FELLOWSHIP OUTLINES 6-11 Staying Strong Phil 3: 12-14 Introduction: Before we go into today's discussion, let us do a little exercise. Let us run on a spot for about 5 minutes. Anyone who runs till the last minute will be said to be strong. Quite interesting, wasn't it? Just like an athlete, you need to keep at it until you achieve your aim. What is your aim in life?... 1Cor. 9:26 (Please write your aim in the space.) Kiddies talk back: As we start the race to our aim, let us remember the following: 1) We are gifted differently. E.g. some of us are picture-smart, word-smart, logic-smart, music= smart, etc. 2) Try to understand how best you learn, E.g do I understand faster with pictures, numbers.etc 3) Continue to do what you know how to do best. Memory Verse: Philippians 4:13 ( NLT) For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. SAY THIS TO YOURSELF: There are no excuses! I will finish this year strong Puzzle:Strong, Everything, strength, Aim, Exercise, Achieve, Develop, Focus Hygiene Tip: Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough and always wash your hands with soap and water or use your sanitizers always.

Accessing our blessings through Faith Heb 11:1-11, Rom 4:13-22 God has blessed us with spiritual blessings in heavenly places through Christ Jesus. These spiritual blessings can only be transformed into reality through the expression of our faith. Faith is absolute trust in God and believing that he can do all things even if our present reality contradicts our expectations from Him. Today, our focus will be on experiencing our spiritual blessings through our faith. 1) Do you find it easy to exercise your faith in some areas of your life and find it difficult in other areas.? Discuss 2) Without faith you cannot achieve much. Below are ways by which your faith can produce desired results: a) b) c) d) e) f) g) Constantly study and meditate on the Word of God. (Josh 1:8) Make personal discovery of yourself from the Word of God to get revelation. (2 Tim 2:15) Listen to spiritual messages and songs. (Eph 4:11-12) Pray in the spirit.( Jude 1:20, I Corin 14:4) Maintain a positive confession. ( Rom 10:10) Key into other people's testimonies. ( Rev 12:11) Mention others Conclusion: Your faith is boosted when you have small victories. Then, your small victories grow and eventually graduate into larger victories. You will succeed in Jesus Name.

20th - 25th Oct., 2014 Developing Your Faith For Business Exploits Heb. 11:1-6, I John 5:4 "For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith (1 John 5:4). Our dominion mandate that has been re-established through Christ provides for success in all spheres of life including our businesses. Nonetheless, we confront a number of challenges in our businesses that contend with the reality of who we are. This is why exercising faith in God is a major requirement to overcome various hurdles and enjoy the victory that has been purchased for us in Christ. Faith activates the working of divine power that surmounts the obstacles we encounter in our business activities. This is the subject of our discussion. 1. In your view as a Christian business practitioner, in what ways can faith become an asset especially when operating in a challenging business environment? Discuss 2. Walking in Faith ensures that we don't succumb to the pressures/conflicting forces working against our progress but maintain a positive disposition that will attract heavenly backing to succeed in our business endeavours. Below are strategies to aid us in developing our faith: a. b. c. d. Spend quality time with God's word (Heb. 11:3) Listen messages preached by anointed men/women of God (Rom. 10 :17) Pray in the Spirit by speaking in tongues (Jude 20) Learn from experiences of others by attending bible study meetings, retreat and conferences (Prov. 27:17, Prov. 13:20) e. Constantly confess God's word (Rom 10:8-9) f. Act on God's word & be courageous (James 1:22a, Josh. 1:9) Mention others. Faith is the one thing that can get you through just about any situation, no matter how tough it may seem or feel. Having a strong faith should be an important element in our lives, as this makes you feel more confident and at ease because you will know who to turn to - God. Therefore developing faith helps us to dispel fear and move ahead in courage knowing that our success is guaranteed with God's help. You will succeed in Jesus name
