August 26, 2018 Speak To Your Mountain Pastor Charles Mendenhall Learning to trust in God, allowing Him to be active in our lives, continuing with the plan that He has for our lives, not quitting or giving up. These are the things we have been taught in the past few weeks. If we have strayed from or gotten off of the plan that God has for us, the Holy Spirit will enable us to reach that goal and fulfill our purpose that He has for our life. Psa 31:19 "Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!" KJV Psa 31:19 "How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world." NLT Psa 31:19 "Lord, how wonderful you are! You have stored up so many good things for us, like a treasure chest heaped up and spilling over with blessings all for those who honor and worship you! Everybody knows what you can do for those who turn and hide themselves in you." PASSION God has stored up the goodness that He has for each of us that are trusting and following after Him, letting others see what He is doing for the believers. Rom 5:1-2 "Therefore, since we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). 2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God." AMP The way we are going to access the oceans of Gods grace with faith, is by using our voice, speaking what the word says. Faith always has a voice. Luke 15 tells the story of the prodical son, his leaving his father's house, his return and his brothers response to what transpired as a result of his return
Luke 12:32 "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." KJV God wants to give the believers the kingdom and all the blessings, it is His good pleasure to do so. We need to have a fatted calf mentality, taking the limits off of God. Faith always has a voice, what we believe or don't believe, there is still always a voice, the bible kind of faith. Faith has a spirit about it and something that has a spirit about it is easier caught than taught, if we are going to catch that spirit of faith it will be easier to catch that spirit by hanging around men and women or places which have a spirit of faith about them. 2 Cor 4:13 "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;" KJV Unfortunately we are going to speak whatever we believe which is a result of our knowledge or our thinking of what we might have put into our lives. We are born again therefore we have the victory that overcometh the world, our faith. 1 John 5:4 "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." KJV Jesus is teaching the most classic lesson on faith that is found in the gospels. There are outstanding examples of faith in the Old Testament but in the New Testament, Jesus is personally teaching. (In some bibles we see Jesus' words in red ink and this tells us that these words are exactly what He taught.) Jesus said to have faith in God or have faith like God. He is teaching about the mountains that we might have in our lives. We may have been taught wrongly about mountains, what they may be or how to handle them. Mountains that we may have in our life are not to be talked about, cuddled or built up, we are told to speak to them that they be removed from our lives. The mountains or challenges that come to us, come with such deception because it doesn't want us to know that we have the right or authority in Jesus name to speak to the mountain and it will be removed. Your mountain in one aspect is waiting for you to speak to it, to tell it to be removed. It is trembling in fear because of waiting for a believer, who knowing the word of God and the authority given to them through the name of Jesus, can demand the mountain to be removed. There is such deception in talking about the mountain, people don't realize what they
are doing, speaking about the problems usually causes them to magnify or become larger. The bible kind of faith always has a voice, speak to that mountain, God has given us the power to speak to the mountain believing that what we speak will come to pass. Mark 11:22-24 "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That *whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." KJV v. 23 "For verily I say unto you, That *whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." * whosoever who is this? Whosoever - anybody can, everybody won't but someone will. That needs to be us. Three times we see the word say or saith in this verse and the word believe only one time. Faith always has a voice to what we say or speak. The word "say" or "lego" means a settled course of action, a course that we are going to take or a road to get on. We know that for every mile of road there are two miles of ditch. If we are not careful we may find ourselves getting off course, looking around which will cause us to miss the mark, we aren't traveling like we are wanting to, we quit saying what we are believing for, our confession becomes negative and we begin to doubt whether it was of God of not. This is a journey for our life here on earth. This is not saying what we are believing for one time, but it becomes a set course that we take and we must continue to speak it many times. We can determine and build a settled course in our life that has a positive outcome if we so desire. There are spiritual warnings along the journey and becoming lukewarm is probably one of the greatest warnings, it will cause us to eventually remove ourselves from the body of believers. If we start the journey and stay on the journey it will simply come to pass. We are going to have what we say in life, nothing more and nothing less, because we are going to speak what we say and say what we believe. That is why it is so important for us to find out what Gods definition of faith is. We can only believe according to
our definition of faith. That is great in one aspect, but if it doesn't line up with what Gods definition is, it is futile and in vain. Now faith has a voice and that voice of faith will say to the mountain. We cannot continue to walk in our infirmities and expect to walk in health. We cannot talk our infirmities but must talk about what Jesus has done for us what He did on the cross and by those stripes we were healed. Talking poverty and lack will not bring those blessings to us. Remember that Jesus is speaking here. v. 23 "For verily I say unto you, That *whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." This is a journey and if we should get off track the Holy Spirit is available to help us get back on track, He can cause us to get back the time that we may have lost, getting us caught up to continue along that journey that we have started, finishing our race, allowing us to redeem the time that may have been lost. Spiritually getting us caught up. v. 23 "For verily I say unto you, That *whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." The first instruction in this verse was to say, not believe, three times say is given, believe is only used one time. In the following scriptures, Jesus is ministering to the woman with the issue of blood. This woman was terminal in her disease, she had no hope, she had spent all that she had with doctors but continually grew worse, however, she had heard about Jesus and the miracles that He had done and she believed in her heart and said with her mouth, that if she could but touch His garment she would be whole. Knowing that she was in trouble for being in public, she was willing to reach out for the healing power that was in Jesus and say with her mouth that it was hers. She got on the road to healing, she kept saying "I will" be whole, she determined her outcome. She was instantly healed. Mark 5:25-28 "And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole." KJV
Mark 5:25-28 "And there was a woman who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 And who had endured much suffering under [the hands of] many physicians and had spent all that she had, and was no better but instead grew worse. 27 She had heard the reports concerning Jesus, and she came up behind Him in the throng and touched His garment, 28 For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health." AMP Mark 5:34 "And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague." KJV It is a course that we are on and spiritually we stay on course, on the road until we fulfill or reach our destination, because we have said to the mountain to be removed, it has no choice but to obey. Words put into action that have been spoken in the God kind of faith, in Jesus name. This is how to enter into the favor and blessings of God, to those storehouses, laid up for us and how we can learn to accept them. So don't go around saying that nothing good is happening to you, that you are not blessed, that everything you touch fails, but begin to speak that you are the blessed of the Lord, you are the head and not the tail, you are above and not beneath and favor and increase follow you wherever you go. Don't allow the enemy to steal the things that you have received from the Lord, don't be neglectful in continuing with renewing your minds and speaking the word of God. If we could just see into the spiritual realm all the things that have been stored up for us, all of Gods goodness. We set the systematic course and by our words determine the outcome. There are many believers who are reaching out for what they are in need of because they have learned the importance of the words that they are speaking, believing God and are receiving. Our world is framed by the words that we speak in faith. Heb 11:3 "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear" KJV The following scripture show the power of the words of our mouth and how those negataive words will hinder our walk with the Lord. (Read the full account of the children of Israel and Moses in the book of Numbers. Learn about Moses, his birth, rearing in the house of Pharoah, spending time in the backside of the wilderness and his call from God on his life.) This verse is a small portion of history regarding the children of Israel, judgment that fell on them and their outcome as they entered into the promised land. God saw them as an evil congregation that continually murmured
against Him. Num 14:26-29 "And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. 28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: 29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me." KJV What are we speaking in Gods ears? in the night time hours, the challenging times? Are we murmuring and complaining? What are we speaking during the good times? We will have what we are continually saying. Mark 11:23"For verily I say unto you, That *whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." Speak words of faith, speak prophetically over your future, it may be totally different than where you want to go but when you hear about the word of God and what Jesus has for you and has done for you, get on the road, keep saying over and over, I am whole, God meets all of my needs I am prosperous in business, stay whole and blessed in Jesus name. Faith has a voice and we have that same spirit of faith, Remember to speak faith words, speaking to your mountains, in Jesus name, receiving revelation knowledge and supernatural blessings from on high.
