The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith APOSTOLIC NEWSLETTER Beautiful is the love of God and how wonderful and powerful it also is. Jesus died on the cross for www.thechurch-apostolicfaith.org Volume 1, Issue 2 April 2010 Because the people had a mind to work F or the past several Saturdays beginning in March, the saints have been faithfully coming out rendering their time and labor into making repairs to the church building in Dallas, Texas. Fresh paint has been applied inside the sanctuary, back hallway and restrooms. New curtains now adorn the pulpit area and new light bulbs have been installed on the outside. Plans for repairing the ceiling inside the sanctuary, new carpeting in the back Hard at work installing new flooring in the vestibule and carpeting in the back hallway. hallway, flooring in the front entrance and restroom repairs are in place. Provisions were made in the kitchen area for the saints to have a place to sit down and eat. We are also thankful for the Lufkin saints who after journeying up on Saturday, March 20 th for a weekend of fellowship, so willingly pitched in and helped out. Though we are few in number, God is continuing to bless us greatly. We thank the Lord for everyone who supported and continues to support us in our efforts in taking care of the house of the Lord. We are reminded of the saints of old as noted in the scripture in Nehemiah 4:6, So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. We believe with this same mind and with God s help we can accomplish great things. Marching Forward With heads held high, with an unquenchable desire, We press our way on up the King s highway. Journeying with care, careful of Satan s snare, For the end we look toward, this is why we march forward. Doing what we can, to finish this race, Giving our all, desiring to see the Lord s face. We are working for the Master, and are putting our time in. Marching with God s favor for this work is of God and not of men. Inside this issue: Oh Lord How Beautiful is Thy Love Beautiful is the love of God and how wonderful and powerful it is. Jesus died on the cross for he loved us so. Apostolic Newsletter 2 Greetings everyone. We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are gathered here in this designated place that we may come and worship him in spirit and in truth. It is not something that we decided or ordained, God ordained it. He expects us that believe to be faithful in that. We are living in the last days and we just have a remnant left over that pays attention to what God says. Some people think because men do all kinds of things and set up all kinds of things that what Gods says does not work anymore. But no one can change God. The bible says that he is a God that should not repent. And it says, that it is not the will of God that any man should perish, but that all men should come to repentance. As long as this world lasts and the dispensation of grace is in effect, we should keep it going. You know God made Adam and made a place for him and put him there and told Words from the Pastor Let No Man Deceive You By Any Means By Bishop V. Bush him what to do. And as the process of time came, Adam decided that he would do something different than what God said and it brought trouble upon this earth. It separated him from God. God came out and said in Genesis 3:9, And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? 12And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. 13And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. God told the serpent what the results for him was, he told Eve what the results were for her, and told Adam what the results were for him. Every since that day, it has been trouble for the human family with the relationship of God. And we have a serious problem trying to get men to turn their minds to God by paying attention to the scriptures he wrote to us. So when we read the scriptures, we have to submit ourselves to them. In other words, we can t read a scripture and the scripture would lead us away from what God said. You know if we let men read the scripture and tell us about them they will go in and find all kinds of things. This is written for us so that we can come together and fulfill the will of God in our life so when God look at what we do he will be pleased at it. It says in Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Now that should register in our heart and every day we go forth to fulfill that. Now there is not but one way that we will be able to be inspired and encouraged to do that. That is by believing what the scripture says and what the spirit says in the church and set forth to fulfill these things in our life. That means to shed of all of those things that will not let us do that. In 2 Thessalonians 2:1, it says 1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, Do not be shaken, because stuff will come up that you would shake you...or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Also, do not take the scripture and read and then get troubled by what the church is about. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: No matter what means he take, let no man deceive you. Some people come along and dress up a certain way and tell people this is what you have to do. Some will get caught up in that. People may get wrong and do all kinds of things and you may hear all kinds of things, but do not let that deceive you. This scripture is talking to us and is still in effect. When you come to The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, you may have someone come up and say something about this church, but this is talking to us so that every generation can come along and read that and not get deceived about the church. So when you come to the church and know you got filled with the Holy Ghost and know water baptism is right and know it is right to assemble yourselves together, do not let anyone come along and deceive you and stop you from doing that. This is what we are here for, to come and do the best we can to show others that the church is the right thing. May God help you and may God Bless you.

Apostolic Newsletter 4 Featured Testimonies Sis. Alberta C. Anderson of Dallas, TX writes: Praise the Lord Saints, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the head of my life. I thank God each day for the many, many blessings that he has bestowed upon me and how he s continually directing my path. I received the Holy Ghost in 1974 at 1632 Germany Street in Columbia, South Carolina. Many years later, the church split up and the people were scattered. The devil was truly busy. I always had the fear of god in me and I wanted to be saved. So I cried to God and he heard my cry. I heard Bishop Bush preach in Winnsboro, South Carolina. It was from that point I knew he had the whole truth and that the anointing of God was upon him. After going back and forth with the changes that I needed to make in my life, God then showed me the way out. I had to relocate to Dallas, Texas, set up a new foundation for myself and ask God to order my steps in his word. I have been residing here for three years with a made up mind to walk with The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. I have a made up mind to keep pressing for higher heights and deeper depths in the word of God everyday holding to God s unchanging hand. Please pray for me. Sis. Norma J. Carter of Dallas, TX writes: Praise the Lord Everybody, Greetings in the name of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am thanking God for his mercy and kindness he has given unto me. I am truly grateful for the blessings God has bestowed upon me in these last and evil days. I have been a member of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith in Dallas, Texas since February 7, 1987. That is when God came and spoke these words to me, Go and save yourself over and over again in Columbia, SC. With the fear of God on me, I relocated to Dallas not knowing where to go or what to do, but waiting on the Spirit to direct my path. I received the Holy Ghost in Columbia South Carolina at the age of thirteen, with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gave utterance. I can truly say that the Holy Ghost has never failed to lead and guide me. When the spirit spoke, I knew it was time to move. I asked God to bless me to be in the whole truth and that I would live for him all of my days. Once hearing Bishop Bush, I knew I was in the right place. The spirit of the Lord came to me saying, This is where you need to be. Once again, I moved with fear by the order of the spirit. My desire now is to continue walking in the Lord. I know he will lead and guide you in the right direction if you really want to be saved. My soul is rejoicing for the presence of the Lord in my life today. Now I can tell the world that it is a blessing to be in the whole truth and to have knowledge of God that is on bible order. It is truly a blessing. I realize now that I must continue walking in the whole truth, because it is the only way I can be saved. Pray for me!

Apostolic Newsletter 5 Think About It Various sermon topics from the weekly services Sermon Topic: The people of God will only hear and heed the voice of the good shepherd. A stranger they will not follow. John 10:1-5 Those shepherds who enter in any other way than at the door are categorized as thieves and robbers according to the scripture. Sermon Topic: There is only one church and it is established above everything else in the earth. The scripture states in Isaiah 2:2 The mountain of the Lord s house shall be established in the top of the mountains and exalted above the hills and all nations shall flow unto it. Sermon Topic: There are some who are not in agreement with the church and who seek to enter in and destroy the truth. Acts 20:29 The scripture states: After my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you not sparing the flock. Even of your own selves shall men arise speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them. Bishop Bush conversing with a visitor while dining after the February 3 rd Sunday service in Lufkin, TX. The Dallas saints enjoying a meal together after a February Sunday Service in Dallas TX. Apostolic Newsletter 6 Know the Truth It has been said by some that once you are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, that this puts you in the church. Q. Does getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and getting the Holy Ghost put you in the church? R. No. Getting baptized and receiving the Holy Ghost alone does not put one in the church. What puts one in the church is the aforementioned AND obeying all of the apostles doctrine. If one simply is baptized and claims the gift of the Holy Ghost, and do not walk in all of the commandments of the scripture, then that individual is not part of the Church. Notice what the scripture says in Acts after Peter spoke to them concerning water baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:40 47 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. There are many who claim water baptism in Jesus name and the Holy Ghost, but are not subject to all of the apostles doctrine. So it takes obeying all of the scripture to be in the church. Announcements We thank the Lord for the precious souls that were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Their names are listed below.
