As the prelude concludes the carillon calls the assembly to worship. The assembly stands and faces the procession at the entrance. AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE CHURCH P With faith in Jesus Christ, we receive the body of our sister Stephanie for burial. The ministers receive the coffin at the baptismal font. Stephanie Joy Coltvet Erdmann 1977 2018 September 15, 2018 P Blessed be the God of resurrection, the source of all mercy and the God of all consolation. God comforts us in all our sorrows so that we can comfort others in their sorrows with the consolation we ourselves have received from God. a Thanks be to God. Water is poured into the baptismal font in remembrance of baptism. P When we were baptized in Christ Jesus, we were baptized into his death. We were buried therefore with him by Baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead we too might live a new life. a For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. -2-
