God comforts us in all our sorrows so that we can comfort others in their sorrows with the consolation we ourselves have received from God. a Thanks be to God. Water is poured into the baptismal font in remembrance of baptism. P When we were baptized in Christ Jesus, we were baptized into his death. + Stephanie Coltvet Erdmann 1977 2018 The Reverend Stephanie Joy Coltvet Erdmann, beloved child of God, died September 6, 2018, at the age of 40. We entrust our sister to the never-ending love of God with thankfulness for her years of service to the church of Jesus Christ. Pastor Coltvet Erdmann was born on December 29, 1977, in Zumbrota, Minnesota, to Sherman and Rachel Coltvet. She received a BA from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota, in 2000, and an MDiv from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, in 2004. She was ordained on August 22, 2004. She married Paul Erdmann on January 3, 2009. Pastor Stephanie served Grace Lutheran Church, Des Moines, Washington, as associate pastor from August 2004 to October 2006; as associate pastor at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, Bloomington, Minnesota, from October 2006 to October 2014; and as co-pastor of Edina Community Lutheran Church, Edina, Minnesota, from October 2014 until her death. Pastor Stephanie is survived by her husband, Paul Erdmann; children, Madeline, August, and Miles; mother, Rachel Coltvet; sister, Elizabeth (James) McGeeney; brother, Timothy Coltvet; and sister-in-law, Sarah Coltvet. She is preceded in death by her father, Sherman Coltvet, and brother, Jonathan Coltvet.
