TIME TRAVELLER- TEACHER S NOTES SYNOPSIS The play starts with a thief breaking into the Time Traveller Agency office. He steals Top Secret files, but leaves a bag full of historical objects in the rush to leave. The head of the Agency, Zorb, calls their top agents in for an emergency meeting: Agent Liz and Agent Rick. They have to catch the thief, known as the Joker, and return the objects to famous people from history, before history changes forever. Liz and Rick have to learn to work together as a team, even though they don t like each other. On their journey they visit Spain in 1492. Christopher Columbus is getting ready to leave on his voyage to discover a route to India, but he s missing his map and needs help with using his compass. Next they meet Picasso as a young artist in 1907. He has lost his inspiration and someone has stolen his favourite brushes. Liz returns his brushes and poses for a picture, Les Demoiselles d Avignon, sending him on his way to become a famous artist. When they arrive in Rome they learn all about what the Romans brought to Britain: from fruit and wine to the alphabet, straight roads to theatre and warm water. But the Roman lady is missing one of the most important inventions the Romans brought to the world-the recipe for pizza! Finally they go back in time to meet a caveman, who needs fire. But the caveman turns out to be the Joker and ties Rick and Liz up. Will the evil Joker finally overcome our brave heroes and change history for ever? Wait and see!
