CWF/DW Corner BAKE SALE: We will meet at the church on Friday, Nov. 9, to help set up for the sale. We will be at the church at 7 a.m. on Saturday for the sale, which begins at 8 am until noon. We ask church members to provide 3 bake sale items, or more. Hopefully we'll have lots of yummy things to sell! There will be some beautiful HUGS blankets for sale, as well as a quilt top from Marian Fraser. QUILT: The quilting ladies are making us another beautiful lap top quilt to raffle. The raffle tickets will be available for purchase soon. The raffle drawing will be at the CWF Christmas Party on Dec. 4. The next Executive Board meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the church. Save the date: The CWF Christmas Party is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 4!!! **********************LOAF************************ LOAF will next meet on Thursday, November 1, 10 a.m. in the church Fellowship Hall. We will share fellowship and a potluck luncheon. Ethel Biddle and Jean Vestal are hostesses. Join us!! Mission Waco/World Toy Drive We will be participating again this year in the Biker Run Toy Drive. Pickup will be Sunday morning, November 25. Please bring new toys for boys and girls, young ones through teenagers, unwrapped with the price tag still on them. There will be a tub in the narthex where you can place your gifts. Let s make this another great success this year! Patti Beaty has received recognition as a fifty (50) year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Grand Chapter of Texas. She was initiated into Dublin chapter #910 on September 21, 1968, and served as Worthy Matron of E. C. Canon chapter #825 (at Baylor Lodge) in 1978-79. Patti is now Chaplain of Lorena chapter #1124. Church Officer Nominations Our Steering Board has appointed Phil Roach, our Moderator-Elect, Sue Lowry, Lana Gilbert, Linda Jensen and Gene Hall to serve as our Nominating Team to recommend church officers for 2019. They are charged with presenting persons for Moderator, Moderator-Elect, Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Elders, Deacons, Trustees and Program Group Coordinators to the congregation for approval. Their Report will be made to the congregation in our annual congregational meeting on Sunday, November 25. Election Day Christian Church in the Southwest Assembly The Regional Assemble of the CCSW is Friday and Saturday, November 2-3 at the Central Christian Church in Austin. The theme of the Assembly is Better Together. There will be learning opportunities and workshops for clergy and lay persons. He was the son of Wesley and Shannon Field. There was a Memorial Service for Jacob on Saturday, October 13th at the First Presbyterian Church in Waco. Michael Abel from China Spring was killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday, October 5th. Funeral services were on Saturday, October 13th at the Lake Shore Funeral Home. Michael was a coach and mentor for Malorie Brown and her shooting. Voting is the highest expression of our liberty and freedoms. The midterm elections are on Tuesday, November 6th. Exercise your privilege and vote! Sheila Webb, the wife of Larry Webb, Terry Ermoian s friend, died on Monday, October 8th. Funeral services were on Friday, October 12th at the Central United Methodist Church. Let s remember these persons and their families and friends in our times of prayer.

This is the Agency that determines the efficiency ratings for child care centers. We were excited to find out our center is now a Texas Rising Star 4 Center, the highest score that can be achieved. This means that our Center is one of the highest ranked in the State of Texas indicating that we provide quality care above the Texas Minimum Standards. Our Center is one of the top ten out of approximately forty-two care programs in Waco. Our congratulations to Pam Huffstatler, Brenda Hill and Meow Needham, our administrative staff, and to our dedicated teachers for this significant achievement.
