Coby brings to her transformational approach extensive experience in upper-level management, entrepreneurship, coaching, yoga, mediation, positive psychology, neuroscience, and ayurvedic studies. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in Business Administration and Environmental Studies and her Masters in Transformative Leadership and certificate in expressive art therapy from Lesley University. Studying group dynamics and team development in Mexico on a three-month experiential learning trip with the National Outdoor Leadership School (N.O.L.S) inspired her passion of transformative living. Upon graduation she completed a thesis on group dynamics and leadership and also designed and taught a collegiate class based on her findings. She then had the opportunity to work and train with the Walt Disney World Corporation. She has worked with executives and young adults while managing districts all over the U.S. Coby is a graduate of the Landmark Forum and has done her coaching training/certification at The Coaches Training Institute (CTI). She completed CTI s nine month experiential leadership program. She worked with Kripalu s semester intensive program, a holistic education program for college students. Coby leads leadership workshops, offers life coaching and teaches yoga at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. She is an E-RYT, registered 500-hour vinyasa flow yoga teacher, 500-hour and 200-hour Kripalu yoga teacher, has completed her 500- hour yoga teacher training with Shiva Rea. She is a certified ayurvedic health educator, certified Yoga Ed. teacher, certified flower essence practitioner, certified Journey Dance and Trance Dance teacher. Coby has completed the master level Avatar Training. She is also trained in Eugene Gendlin s Focusing Technique and Laury Rappaport s Focusing-Oriented Art Therapy. As students flow they can experience and dive into an unbroken stream of internal meditation, which supports the body to move in creative and primal ways. Ecstatic Dance and Movement Meditation An invitation to students to uplift their spirit and tap into the pulse of life as they celebrate, flow, move, dance and meditate like never before. Indulge into conscious dance and movement meditation in this ecstatic and joy-filled workshop for all levels. Ecstatic Prana Dance and Meditation is a journey and experience of living life fully and letting the entire self be expressed. Before beings ever practiced being they simply played, explored, danced, laughed, and shared. This is a workshop to embrace all aspects of life and soak in the bliss of being alive. Vinyasa Flow Yoga: A Compassionate and Mindful Approach This rejuvenating and compassionate movement-based, lecture and experiential workshop will take students into the depths of vinyasa flow and the inquiry of yoga. Through an inclusive and mindful methodology they will experience vinyasa flow in a new and empowering way. We will focus on a creative and dynamic sequence. They will experience the effects of creative flow, strength and fluidity as they come to their edge with compassion and awareness. In this workshop, we will explore the teachings of an ancient yoga text that describes 112 meditation practices for touching the sacred right here in the midst of daily life. During this workshop students will: Explore a wide variety of different meditation practices so their bodies can instinctively pick what they need. Learn how to let meditation be rejuvenating and soothing to their nerves. Learn how to be with the energies, emotions, and sensations that arise and take good care of themselves in meditation. The Power of Self-Observation: Discovering Freedom Fall in love with this moment, this breath, this feeling.
