The next 9 pages contain my examples of the insides of cards for you to learn from. You do not have to make yours just like mine. You can if you want to, but you don't have to. They are just to give you ideas and teach you art principles that will help you make nicer cards. After my examples, you will find pages and pages of pictures and greetings to paste inside your cards. Some of them are in color, and others are in black and white, for you to color. (This way parents can decide if they want to use black and white or color toner to print these out.) I colored the pictures and greetings of the inside card above to give you ideas for when you color your own. Again, you can copy what I did or you can use any other colors that you prefer. I gave the Easter lilies above yellow middles and a green background. I used bright, sunny colors to represent glory and joy. You might also want to write or glue typed Bible verses that pertain to Jesus death and resurrection inside your cards. Here are some suggestions: Remember that Jesus' death not only saves us, but also gives us spiritual power over sin, and the ability to live a godly life, and rise above sin, to live lives that are pleasing to God in all respects. You may have noticed, with these 2 cards that the picture on the right side of the card is bigger than the picture on the left side of the card. This pale pink card didn't end up very pink after scanning, but it is almost as nice in white. This is the easiest thing you can do on the inside of a card: glue a picture on one side of the fold, and a picture and greeting on the other side. When you do this, try to glue it in the center of each side of the card from left to right. But glue it a little higher than the center between the top and bottom. Joy Marie homeschooled all 5 of her kids from preschool to high school graduation. One of her and her kids' favorite art activities was creative cardmaking. This is the way it should be, because the right side of the inside of a card is the side you write on, and is the most important side. The left side only needs a small picture (or none at all). You can print, cut out, and use these bookmarks. But you may also want to create your own bookmarks using these as inspiration. Glue any of the pictures in this book onto a piece of construction paper shaped like any of these, and you have a bookmark. So use your creativity! To make them strong enough to last a long time, cover them with a length of clear packing tape on the front and back. Share with a friend.
