BBC Update Baptism Dr. Thomas Strouse regeneration. The Lord blessed BBC on Sunday, September 6, 2015, by setting three new members in His assembly (I Cor. 12:18). Those who had made a profession of faith, having repented of sins, were Hope Czako, Jazmine Johnson, and Lisa Borselle. We thank the Lord for these three new members and their desire to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in this body of Christ at Cromwell, CT. Mrs. Lilia Harding allowed the church to use the pool at her home for which we are grateful. Many visitors heard the Gospel of Christ preached, and the denial of the efficacy of baby baptism or baptismal BBC Update 1 Bible Baptist Church new member Hope Czako. BBTS/BBC Picnic BBTS / BBC Picnic 4 Photos Again, the good Lord gave a beautiful day for the annual BBC/BBTS Labor Day Picnic (9-7-15) at the Strouse House. At least seven sister churches were represented as all fellowshipped around the truth of Scripture, eating, playing, and testifying together. It was great to have Laura, Krista, and Eric Hagglund visit all the way from the Chicago area. How true the biblical statement rings, which states, Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Ps. 133:1).

Devotional Corner Victory Over Death Devotional Corner 8 Victory Over Death 1 Corinthians 15:54-58 For those who are saved, God reveals that our physical death is a victorious occasion (1 Cor.15:54). The Apostle Paul associates physical death to a sting, as in a bee sting - not a happy occasion as we anticipate it. However, he states that when death eventually comes to the saved person, the sting of death is not there, and neither is the victory of Pastor Cas Reeves the grave (1 Cor.15:55). He further adds that the sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law of God (1 Cor.15:56), and that the saved person s victory over sin and death is the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor.15:57). On the basis of this victory over sin and death, as saved people, we first need to be thankful to God for delivering us through His Son, Jesus Christ (1 Cor.15:57). Secondly, we need to be steadfast: firm, immovable; thirdly, we need to be unmovable: firmly persistent; fourthly, we need to be always abounding: continually growing in our personal lives and efforts in the work of the Lord (1 Cor.15:58). We are further told relative to our victory in Christ that this labor is not a vain or worthless exercise in the Lord. Have you found and do you have victory over death? It is found in Jesus Christ and if you have Him, you have victory. -CAR Quotes From the Past: Ulysses S. Grant 1822-1885 18th President of the USA Ulysses S.
