State Officers Report Jay Doherty, State Secretary, stated that he was impressed at the great turn out for the Chapter meeting. The attendance was outstanding. He provided his perspective about our new pope, Pope Francis, who is a man of Love. We are called to evangelize and to do charitable work. Doing acts of charity is what being a Knight is all about. It is the core of who we are and what we do. If the councils do that well, then the Knights will be visible, attract more membership and then be able to do more acts of charity. Councils can make donations to the victims in the Philippines by donating to the State Charities Fund. Resolutions for the Convention are due to the State Advocate by February 22 nd. Closing The next meeting will be on January 20, 2014 hosted by Council #11730 at Our Lady of the Pines in Black Forest. The District Deputies offered the closing prayers and Chapter President Walt Parsons adjourned the meeting at 8:50pm. Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapter, P.O.
