It is really important to ponder the fact that one family in three has a member with a disability in the US. Please consider sharing your gifts in the Special Religious Development Ministry. SPRED is a small faith community of catechists and persons with disabilities. The community fosters the inclusion of persons with disabilities into the liturgical life of parishes. We all belong, we all are part of the body of Christ. The diocesan SPRED office provides training that helps catechists to understand how to share their faith with people with disabilities. You are invited to SPRED trainings on October 13 and November 3. These trainings will be held at St. Joan of Arc, Cumberland or St. Benedict, Warwick. For more information as a catechist or for someone with disabilities, please contact Irma at 278-4578.
