St. Paul Street Evangelization is a grassroots, non-profit Catholic evangelization organization, dedicated to responding to the mandate of Jesus to preach the Gospel to all nations by taking our Catholic Faith to the streets. We do this in a non-confrontational way, allowing the Holy Spirit to move in the hearts of those who witness our public Catholic presence. St. Paul Street Evangelization provides an avenue for you to share the Person of Jesus Christ and the truth and beauty of the Catholic Faith with a hungry culture. In light of our continued growth as an apostolate of the Catholic Church, St. Paul Street Evangelization is holding a summer leadership institute to train new regional missionaries who will plant teams, help existing teams, offer speaking and training opportunities, and serve as an advocate for our ministry in the world. The Leadership Training Institute is an opportunity to spend 5 days with other Catholic leaders preparing for and practicing the work that you will take up as a regional missionary in our apostolate. You will spend one day evangelizing with the national office. You will spend two days in lectures, learning about the background of the topics you will teach through our training. We will teach you how to teach our courses and what is expected of you as a regional missionary. You will then spend two days with your coworkers in the vineyard teaching a live course at the seminary while the staff of our national office evaluates your gifts, talents, and abilities. While our goal is to thoroughly vet each person who applies for the institute so that all of those who attend will be employed as a regional missionary, acceptance into the institute is not an offer of employment in itself. Those who successfully complete the institute and have satisfactory evaluations may be given an offer of at-will employment as an independent contractor.
1. Regional coordinators, team leaders, and team members with at least 6 months of active experience with St. Paul Street Evangelization are eligible to apply. 2. Those with a minimum of a B.A. in theology, the new evangelization, catechesis, or similar who can demonstrate a passion for evangelization and strong speaking skills are also encouraged to apply. By successfully completing the training each participant will be employed as an independent contractor with the title regional missionary. There is no salary or hourly wage, but regional missionaries will earn speaking fees and commission. The possibility of promotion from within the apostolate exists as we grow and the Holy Spirit blesses us. Successful applicants will be permitted to run Basic Evangelization Training and Evangelical Apologetics workshops in their regions and provide formal certification for those courses. They will use our promotional materials to call, email, and approach diocesan staff, priests, directors of religious education, campus ministers, and youth ministers about starting teams and offering the training. Those with degrees and certificates in youth ministry from appropriate institutions will also be able to take an evening tract in order to offer our Youth Encounter Workshop. The national office will provide all of the materials regional missionaries need to be successful. In addition they will be authorized to act on behalf of the apostolate to offer shorter introductory and small break-out talks as provided by the national office. 1. Regional missionaries will receive speaker fees & stipends (50% after costs) up to $600 along with reimbursement for mileage and expenses. The cost for each event is fixed by the national office. 2. Regional missionaries will receive 50% of the profits from sales at vendor tables. 3. Regional missionaries will earn 10% of one time donations (up to $100) and a percentage of new monthly donations they solicit. If a regional missionary solicits a donation greater than $10,000 additional consideration may be given, including further development opportunities in the apostolate.
