We are committed to forming ourselves into a caring and active Christian Community, to promote the values of our religion and to fulfill the universal mission of our ministry.

Pastor s Pen By Fr. Luke Ferris O God, be merciful to me a sinner. (Luke 18:13) How simple this prayer of the tax collector in today s gospel. Eight words open his heart and speak to the Sacred Heart of our merciful Lord Jesus. Perhaps our prayer could be as simple? One of my favorite prayers is the Litany of Humility by Cardinal Merry del Val (1865-1930). Here is a portion of it: O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me. From the desire of being esteemed, Deliver me, Jesus. (repeat after each line) From the desire of being loved, From the desire of being extolled,... That others may be loved more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. (repeat after each line) That others may be esteemed more than I, That, in the opinion of the world, others may increase and I may decrease,... That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. Amen. Gratefully yours, Fr. New Music Teacher Meet our new music teacher Ms. Renee Rickert-Smith. I grew up on a dairy farm in rural Shawano County and attended Bowler Public Schools. I have degrees in Musicology and German Culture and Philology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I travel extensively and perform throughout the United states especially in the summertime. My main musical instruments are the French horn, trombone, trumpet, clarinet, oboe, and flute as well as historical brass instruments. I have been teaching for over 16 years. I take care of my elderly mother and three dachshunds. I am currently researching my great grandfather Jozef Aszklar, a Polish American sculptor and traveling extensively throughout the United States on weekends to find, document and help preserve his art work. My home parish is St. Joseph-Holy Family in Phlox, WI where I was married to my late husband. I am a quiet person inside and out, and believe in the strength and power of a strong, rounded education. I try to live my faith and let God guide my path through life. Full EVENT is FREE to all children through 8th Grade! I am excited to work with the amazing professionals at Sacred Heart Catholic School. I was involved with the school as a parent volunteer last year in the library. My family are parishioners of St. Martin in Cecil. My goal is to share with the students a love of reading and discovering new interests. I hope the students will enjoy libraries, whether digital or in person, as a resource for their whole lifetime. Marketing Consultants Provide Guidance On Tuesday, October 11, Sacred Heart Catholic School had the great fortune to spend the day with O Connor Connective, a professional marketing firm from DePere learning about best practices on how to market our school and increase enrollment. School parents and School Board members, Tim Ross and Jessica Moesch, joined Principal, Elisha Wagenson, Admissions Director, Autumne Gee and Father Luke for the day long workshop. The group drafted key messages, received feedback on current marketing practices, and mapped out a marketing calendar. In the coming weeks, the group will be responsible to draft a formal plan and submit it to the Diocesan Department of Education.
