Worship Worship Today Excerpt from the Sermon Journal, Monday, December 11, 2017 Written by Pastor Tom Harrison Invitation to Love - Luke 19:1-10 Many people will never set foot in a church because deep down they feel they are simply not good enough to fit in with all the good people. Others won t come because they are appalled by the hypocrisy of those who profess the faith but do not practice it. The reality is that we are all sinners who stand in need of grace. The reality is that God loves us just as we are. If that seems too good to be true, remember Jesus interaction with the wicked little tax collector, Zacchaeus. A tax collector in that day was a traitor to his nation and to his faith. He was the chief tax collector, too. He made a lot of money but paid a very high cost for it he was absolutely hated by his own people. Yet, Jesus showed up, called his name and brought salvation into his life. Something to Think About: Do you feel loved, accepted and forgiven by Jesus Christ? This is God s will for you! Is there someone you can share this same good news with, too? We are here to help others follow Jesus and it might begin by simply letting them know they are loved. End-of-Year Giving Thank you for your continued generosity this year. For those who want to make end-ofyear contributions to Asbury to be included in your 2017 tax statement, here are your opportunities: The church office will be open Friday, December 29, until 5 pm, for those who would like to personally deliver contributions. The south entrance of the church will be open Saturday, December 30, 10 am-3 pm to place a contribution in the drop box. You may give during the worship services on Sunday, December 31. The south entrance of the church will be open Sunday, December 31, through 6 pm to place a contribution in the drop box. If you wish to mail contributions to the church, they must be postmarked by December 30, as the post office is closed on Sunday, December 31. You can give online through myasburytulsa.org until 10 pm December 31. Please contact the finance office at 918.392.1136 if you have questions.

For a complete scripture memory list, stop by any Guest Services desk today. New Perceptions are here Books will be on sale in the main foyer each Sunday through December 17 and in the main office during the week.
