APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 2017 - BE IT ENACTED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF THE COUNTY OF BAXTER, STATE OF ARKANSAS, AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FEES AND REIMBURSEMENTS RECEIVED IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY TO THE SHERIFF S DEPARTMENT 2017 BUDGET. WHEREAS, the Sheriff s Department has collected the following fees, reimbursements and donations in excess of the anticipated budgeted revenue amount in the month of January, 2017: $ 105.00 received from DWI Fines from District Court $ 85.00 received from Drug Enforcement Fines $ 455.00 received from Act 770 fees $ 80.00 fees from Black Powder Prints $ 360.42 reimbursement for ADC invoices and Inmate Prescriptions $ 190.01 reimbursement for Inmate Postcards and 309 s Cable Bill $ 1,600.00 reimbursement for Inmate Social Security $ 91.13 received for Inmates Medical Reimbursement $ 95.00 received for Restitution-Extradition/Prisoner Transport $ 50.00 received from Scrap Metal WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate said monies totaling $3,111.56 to the appropriate line items in the Sheriff s Department 2017 budget for future expenditure. Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the 2017 County General Fund (#1000) the following designated sums of money for the following designated expenditures: $ 585.00 to GL# 1000-0400-2001 (General Supplies) $ 200.00 to GL# 1000-0400-2007 (Fuel, Oil, Lubricants) $ 360.42 to GL# 1000-0418-2004 (Jail: Medicine & Drugs) $ 190.01 to GL# 1000-0418-2011 (Jail: General Supplies) $ 1,691.13 to GL# 1000-0418-3006 (Jail: Medical & Hosp.) APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 2017 - BE IT ENACTED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF THE COUNTY OF BAXTER, STATE OF ARKANSAS, AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING EXCESS 911 REVENUES IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,630.00 TO THE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 2017 BUDGET. WHEREAS, there are excess un-appropriated Emergency 911 revenue funds available for the purchase of a vehicle for the Office of Emergency Management; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate these funds, in the amount of $20,630.00, into the Office of Emergency Management 2017 budget to properly assign this expenditure. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF BAXTER COUNTY, ARKANSAS, THAT: Section 1. RE-APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 2017 - BE IT ENACTED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF THE COUNTY OF BAXTER, STATE OF ARKANSAS, AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE RE-APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE 2016 BUDGET, PREVIOUSLY AUTHORIZED IN ORDINANCE NO. 2015-81, FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE STATE-MANDATED BUDGET CLEAN-UP. RESOLUTION 2017 - A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BAXTER COUNTY JUDGE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT ON BEHALF OF THE BAXTER COUNTY FAIR ASSOCIATION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF THE COUNTY OF BAXTER, STATE OF ARKANSAS, THAT: WHEREAS, the Baxter County Quorum Court has determined that the Baxter County Fair Association meets eligibility requirements necessary to apply for a grant under the County Fair Building Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the Baxter County Fair Association has presented plans for the installation of a roof on the hog wash area, and the installation of water and sewer lines; and WHEREAS, the Baxter County Quorum Court recognizes the need for this project, concurs its importance, and supports the Baxter County Fair Association in its efforts to proceed with the same; and WHEREAS, the Baxter County Fair Association has furnished proof that they have raised $3,620.00 through community cash and/or in-kind donations to be applied to the project as a local match. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Quorum Court of Baxter County authorizes the Baxter County Judge to submit an application of formal request to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission for purposes of securing state grant funds in the amount of $3,620.00 to aid and assist the Baxter County Fair Association in executing the proposed project described herein and that the County Judge is further authorized to administer the grant funds for the same project.
