Please enter the sanctuary in a spirit of reverence as we prepare for worship and remember to silence all cell phones before the service. =Stand as you are able. GATHERING IN PRELUDE: Rhosymedre R. Vaughan Williams CALL TO WORSHIP-Psalm 138:3-6 LEADER: PEOPLE: LEADER: PEOPLE: On the day I called, you answered me, you increased my strength of soul. All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth. They shall sing of the ways of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord. For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly; but the haughty he perceives from far away. HYMN No. 81 Glorious Things of Thee are Spoken AUSTRIAN HYMN GREETING Pastor Carolyn Gillette PRAYER OF CONFESSION-UNISON Wondrous God, we confess that at times our doubts and fears override our hope and faith. Forgive us when we lose sight of the joy of Your love and instead fall into despair and gloom. Lift up our spirits, Lord, and help us to remember the promise of new life here and now, not just the hope of resurrection for the future. We give thanks for Your Son, Jesus the Christ, who continues to offer us new life, who continues to turn us around and upside down, who continues to break down the walls of death in our own life. Forgive us, restore us and renew us. In the name of our risen Savior, Jesus the Christ, we pray. Amen. SILENT CONFESSION ASSURANCE OF PARDON HYMN No. 581 Glory Be to the Father GLORIA PATRI

Have you ever wondered how those Children Worship Bags were completed? Well, it was Margaret Young. Margaret has faithfully maintained the children s worship bags for four years. Her service to our children s ministry has been a blessing, and we are most grateful for. But the time has come that Maragaret would like to pass the baton (...or bag), and is hoping that another fine volunteer will come forward. The task takes approximately 45 minutes a week. Please contact Lisa Faso in the OPC office if you are able to support this special ministry. BELOVED COFFEE HOUR We are in need of host for Coffee Hour for the month of September. All hosts are much appreciated and remember to keep it simple. Please contact Amarilis Stricker (484-270-8351) or Raelyn Harman (610-331-8972) if you have any questions.
