To: Pinpoint where an individual is spiritually Help the individual through the process of assessing where they are spiritually Helping certified counselors and believers understand the importance of being ready at all times But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who ask you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear 1 Peter 3:15

Always means at all times Be prepared means that I/we have made preparations to share our faith To give an answer means that I/we should have the proper answers to give. I may not have all the answers, but a prepared believer has the critical answers
To everyone means no omissions and no exceptions Give a reason/defense means that we are capable of explaining our faith in Christ. For the hope you and I have means that we should/must share the hope and confidence that we have in Jesus as our Savior. With meekness and fear means we approach people with a meek, humble and gentle attitude. We seek not to turn people away with arrogant spirit.

It is a way of explaining the good news of salvation using verses from the book of Romans It is a pathway that you can walk down to help an individual understand how to be saved It is a simple yet powerful method of explaining: WHO needs salvation? WHY we need salvation? HOW God provides salvation? HOW we receive salvation? RESULTS of salvation?

The provision is that Jesus dies on the cross, was buried and rose from the dead for our sins. The promise is, if we believe and accept Him, we receive eternal life.
EFFECTUAL EVANGELISM Altar Call Process The call-to-discipleship or altar call is one of the most important aspects of the worship service. One of the roles of a counselor is to make this process work as smoothly as possible.
Inside the sanctuary Role of counselor (enthusiastic, swift movement, greeting the candidate, being attentive to their needs and the pulpit, avoiding distractions, etc.) In route to counseling area Role of counselor (begin dialogue, exhibit excitement, etc.). In counseling room Role of counselor (importance of mint, introduction, prayer, attentive to need, key words, watching body language, obtaining accurate information, etc.). EFFECTUAL EVANGELISM Why Is Church Membership Important? It plays a significant role in our spiritual life. It is generally the primary source of Bible teaching, worship, discipleship, accountability, admonishment, encouragement, and fellowship (Heb. 13:7, 13:17). People do not understand the importance of being a part of a local church. Some feel like it is not necessary. Some hop from church to church, not submitted to anyone.
Encourage people to get in a church where they can: You can learn You can grow You respect the pastor and follow him as he follows Christ!
EFFECTUAL EVANGELISM Importance of personal touch with new convert or potential member Demonstrates that you are excited about the decision the potential member made Provide personal contact (via phone) with individual in a short window. Extremely important Follow-up post card, etc. Follow-Up Affords an opportunity for the individual to ask questions
EFFECTUAL EVANGELISM Street Witnessing Taking the Gospel outside of the church is extremely important. Planning this ministry outing should take in the following considerations Organize teams (should have a team lead) Map out territory Godly attire Go are in 2 or more. If possible, should be at least 1 male on team Obey the law of the land Distribute tracts that share the Gospel
