OCTOBER 1&2, 2016 If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, Be uprooted and planted in the sea. and it would obey you. Luke 17:6 27TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME TODAY S CELEBRATION: My friends, in today s Gospel, the apostles ask something of Jesus that we may also have to ask for at times: more faith. Jesus responds with a story about doing our duty. Faith does follow action. When we act like faithful people, we come to be people filled with faith. So let us pray together those of us strong in our faith and those struggling with doubt knowing that our prayer today is our duty. NEXT SUNDAY'S READINGS 2 Kings 5:14-17.
