INTRODUCTION 1 Corinthians 14:33 & 40, For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. Let all things be done decently and in order. - This document seeks to establish order, peace and excellence in the Church. - Accepting the contents of this document is to accept your participation in fulfilling the mandate God has given us in building His holy kingdom here on earth. - Faith and Glory Tabernacle is the Church of the Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa: Determined to glorify God; Determined to proclaim the Kingdom of God by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit; Determined to minister to the needs of the total person; Determined to develop, equip, and release Disciples for ministry; Determined to extend the influence of the Church beyond its boundaries; Determined to promote the fellowship of the Partners and to network ministries THE COMPOSITION OF PARTNERS/DISCIPLES We shall refer to the members of Faith and Glory Tabernacle (FGT) as Partners or Disciples interchangeable. We believe in walking and working together but also to be disciplined students or followers at the same time. - Partners/Disciples of the church shall be composed of persons: Who are born again and have received (or waiting to receive) believers baptism as a sign of repentance Who are recognised Partners/Disciples of FGT Who are 21 years and older Who are between 18 and 21 years and are currently students. Their parents or guardians will be informed about such partnership. Who are convinced in partaking to fulfil the mandate and discipline of FGT as outlined in this document Who adhere to and accept the confession of Faith as stipulated in this document. CONFESSION OF FAITH WE BELIEVE - In God eternal, triune, almighty creator, sustainer and ruler of all creation. - In God the Father, the author of creation and salvation. - In Jesus Christ the only Son of God the Father, true God who for the sake of humanity and its salvation, descended from heaven and became flesh; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born by virgin Mary; who lived on earth and was crucified, died and was buried, who rose from the dead and ascended to heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father. - In the Holy Spirit, true God proceeding from the Father and the Son, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement and leads in all truth. Page 2 of 9

- That the Bible is the Word of God, written by men as the Holy Spirit inspired them. We believe that it authoritatively proclaims the will of God and teaches us all that is necessary for salvation. - That all human beings are created in the image of God; due to their sinful rebellion, this image is marred, that all have sinned before God and it is the will of God that all people should receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. - In the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues as promised to all believers. We believe in the manifestation of the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit in the life a Christian. We believe that a Christian should be a disciple of Jesus Christ living a consecrated and holy life. - That Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church which is constituted by the Holy Spirit and consists of born again believers. The Church is responsible for proclamation and demonstration of the gospel and God s will to all people. As a charismatic community they fellowship and edify one another. - That the believer s baptism, by immersion and the Lord s Supper are instituted by Jesus Christ to be observed by the Church. - That at the time appointed by God, Jesus Christ will come to take away his Church. - In a day of judgement when Jesus Christ will judge the living and the dead. We believe in the resurrection of the body and eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked. We believe in the new heaven and the new earth where God will reign in glory. OUR VISION (Isaiah 61:1-7) Restoration Balance Excellence - RESTORATION We call individuals into salvation and repentance We disciple individuals to be established into Christ Jesus We minister revival into lives of individuals - BALANCE We disciple individuals to produce fruits of repentance We challenge and equip individuals to develop their human capacity - EXCELLENCE We equip Partners to be pace-setters in the Church and in their environments of influence We challenge individuals to be models of godly moral standards OUR MISSION (Luke 10:33-35) HOUSE OF HEALING HOME FOR ALL - We believe that individuals come as they are at FGT and they find healing through restoration in their lives and then they make FGT their home, hence our mission. OUR STRATEGY (Ephesians 4:11) Equip Care Reach Proclaim - Disciple - EQUIP: Prepare and release our Partners for the work of ministry Disciple our Partners to attain their total capacity Identify, develop and empower leaders - CARE: Support our Partners in their time of need, grief, and celebration Utilise districts, cell groups, ministries, and counselling service to care for our Partners - REACH-OUT: Win souls for the Kingdom of God Get involved to meaningfully contribute in social service structures of our communities Meaningfully respond to the needs of our communities - PROCLAIM: Minister God s word with clarity and power - DISCIPLE: Disciple Partners and new Converts in attaining Christ-like life Disciple Partners and new Converts to understand the discipline of Christ, His life, what He represents, and what is expected of us Empower Partners to have a meaningful devotional life in order to mature in the knowledge and fullness of Christ Jesus. FUNERALS Partners or their family members should immediately communicate to their district Shepherd when departure from the living has occurred. The Partner or the family will get more engagements from the district Shepherd as he/she represents the Church at the pastoral level. - The church will release the Minister and/or his assistant, district shepherd, and with other delegates to lead funeral proceedings and/or negotiate with the members of the family on the departure of the following people: Partner/Disciple Children under 21 whose parent(s) is a Partner of FGT. Partner/Disciple who is between 18 and 21 that took partnership due to their academic season in the City. - The church will release the Minister and/or his assistant, district shepherd, and with other delegates to either lead or assist with the funeral proceedings and/or negotiate with the members of the family on the departure of the following people: Parents of the Partner Spouse of the Partner Siblings of the Partner - The church will find a reasonable way that will be meaningful in supporting a particular Partner when any of the family member that is not in the above description, departs. Page 4 of 9

- The church will also avail counselling session whenever it is needed to the Partner of family members that could not deal with the departure of their loved ones. WEDDINGS - The Church accepts the marriage which is between male and the female or man and woman - While the Church cannot decide and choose a life partner for anyone, but we encourage our Partners to: Seek God s guidance through prayer and attentive listening to God Consider someone who share the same faith and philosophy as you in Christ Jesus Consider someone that would complement you and suitable to spend life with Consider someone whose life has evidence of repentance - The Church accepts lobola as marriage and it can pronounce the married couple as husband and wife. The couple will be advised to register their marriage and be blessed. The couple will be accepted if their wish to register their marriage be on the day of their white wedding if they so wish to have a white wedding. The Church understands that white wedding is a celebration and it does not have the value lobola has because lobola has a commitment of both the couple and their families. - Partners that are about to get married, either a lobola is about to be paid or white wedding is planned or their marriage is planned to be registered; they should communicate with their district Shepherd for direction, support and premarital counselling arrangements. The couple will then be scheduled for premarital counselling and also for postmarital counselling which will be conducted by one of our couples counsellors. The couple will be scheduled to be introduced to the Church as those intending to get married. The premarital counselling process and marriage proceedings may carry costs to the couple. Discussion on this point and other related ones will be discussed and during the first session as each case is different and every couple will be treated as such. - When a Partner realises that his/her marriage or marriage promise is heading to its termination, must inform the Minister or any couples counsellor for intervention. The Minister and the leader of the board shall investigate and judge the complaints. Should there be sufficient causes for a charge of misconduct; the matter shall be referred to the board for further investigation and trial and the Partner when charged shall have the right of defence. - Where rumour of misconduct persists concerning a Partner, the board is entitled to investigate it and deal with it according to church laws, if necessary. - A Partner shall be guilty of misconduct should he/she: Commit or attempt to commit an act to the detriment or possible detriment of the Church Act in contravention of the provisions of the Church laws, doctrine, liturgy, and accepted practice of the Church.
