Not only does the lack of daylight make many tasks more difficult, it has been clinically shown to induce in some people a sadder state of mind. Last year, I bought a bright light for my desk that was supposed to simulate sunlight. The jury is still out on whether the light contributed to my happiness, but it sure made reading easier. During Advent, our wreaths get brighter as we light another candle each week. By the fourth week, the Advent wreath shines in joyful hope of Christ s birth. Then, finally, we light the center candle to celebrate the Word made flesh. As the angel told Joseph, She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. May the great light of the Redeemer brighten your hearts and your homes this Christmas. Shalom. The peaceful demonstration that has followed on the somber anniversary of Roe v. Wade every year since 1973 is a witness to the truth concerning the greatest human rights violation of our time, legalized abortion on demand. All middle and high school youth are invited to join us as we travel down to Washington, D.C. to peacefully pray for a world where every human life is valued and protected. Please visit olmmparish.org/march-for-life for more information or to register. Please contact Chris Fortin with any questions. 3

Since the fall of our first parents, humanity has been tempted to mistrust the love that God the Father has for us. Scripture scholar Dr. Tim Gray takes us on a journey that addresses the pervasive misconceptions that God is quick to anger, that the God of the Old and New Testaments are different, and that God doesn t have a merciful heart for us. You will see that you can trust our heavenly Father, who is truly one with his Son. The Necessity of Divine Mercy Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, reveals the urgency to live and share the powerful message of Divine Mercy. He explains the basics of the Divine Mercy feast, image, novena, chaplet, and hour of mercy, and how to incorporate them into your spiritual life. In this Year of Mercy, discover God s transformative message of Divine Mercy. We kindly ask for a donation of $4.00 per book (or otherwise specified suggested donation), $3.00 per CD, $2.00 per booklet and $0.50 per pamphlet so that we may continue this program. Please make all checks out to OLMM. Won t you reach out and help bring someone home? 6 Has Something Changed?? Have you moved, or changed your phone number?
