Lord, we thank You for the heritage of this counrty: for those who with their feet pioneered this land and with their hands plowed the soil, for those who with their hearts dreamed of freedom, and with their wills helped make it happen. Lord, we thank You for the birth of this country: for those whose minds helped shape our government, for those whose voices would not be silenced, and passion for freedom would not be quenched, for those out of whose lives this country was born. With this gratitude we celebrate the birth of our country and with humility and trust we submit ourselves to You, O Lord, always seeking to be One nation under God. In Your Son s name. Amen
