Parish News Up Coming Events CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION The St. James Parish Christmas Celebration hosted by Fr. Rob Willmann and Dr. Maria Jamiolkowski will be Saturday, December 6 th, from 6-9 at the Schultz Mansion, 441 Putnam Ave., Zanesville. ECW In an effort to assist St James with minor repairs has taken on the challenge of repairing walls and ceiling in the upstairs bathrooms. It is also refreshing the bathrooms and Sunday school rooms and hallway by painting and accessorizing. The ECW will be holding a Painting party on Saturday December 6 at 9:00. Lunch will be served. Please bring your own favorite painting tools. POINSETTIAS Ordering Poinsettia plants to decorate the church for Christmas will begin on November 16 th and will end December 10 th. Each poinsettia plant is 20.00. The plants will be available for pick up after the 10:00 Eucharist on January 5, 2015. Please include the word POINSETTIA in the memo portion of your check. PLEASE REMEMBER THE LAST DAY TO ORDER POINSETTIAS IS DECEMBER 10 TH! VESTRY NOMINATIONS Nominations are being accepted for positions on the Vestry. Inserts, to nominate, will be included in the December bulletins and may be placed in the offering plate. Please consider nominating yourself for a place on the Vestry! ALTAR FLOWERS The sign-up sheet for Altar Flowers will be located in the undercroft. There are seven openings starting with January 4, and ending February 15 th. DOWNTOWN EVENTS December the 3 rd downtown Zanesville will start reflecting the holiday season! The Festival of Trees opens at 5:00. Santa s Workshop will located at the Festival (for one day only) 5-8. Downtown Holiday Tour runs from 5-8 and Miracle on Main Street Lighting Ceremony begins at 6:30 at the Courthouse. December the 4th, the Festival of Trees will be opened for viewing from 10-6 with the live auction occurring on December 5 th.

CHRISTMAS EVE MASS Christmas Eve Mass of the Nativity of Our Lord will again be celebrated this year with services at 4:00PM (Children s Eucharist and Saint Nicholas) and The Solemn Mass of Christmas Eve at 11:00PM~Festival Eucharist (with music beginning at 10:30). DAUGHTERS OF THE KING (DOK) January 6, 2015 our chapter of the Daughters of the King will be presented for the Institution of a Chapter during the 10:00 service. FRIENDSHIP DINNERS The November 29 Friendship Dinner served 165 meals at a cost of $1.90/meal. A HUGH Thank You to Louise Smith for sponsoring the November meal. Also thank you to Cheryl Onega for providing the homegrown blackberries which were baked into a delicious cobbler and served as dessert. Thank you to everyone who donated hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves for the November Friendship Dinner. Our guests were very grateful, another generous outreach as St. James reaches out to the community beyond our doors. Thank you to everyone who donated Christmas ornaments to make our tree look lovely. December 27 is the next Friendship Dinner. Signup sheets are in the undercroft, please donate some time to help with this dinner. We are asking for donations of CAKE for this dinner, a signup sheet for this is also in the undercroft. CENTERING PRAYER Each Tuesday at 12:00 the Centering Prayer group meets in St. James House for an hour of peaceful reflection through Centering Prayer.
